Shandon Park Golf Club

Disgusted that Shandon/GolfNow are charging people to play their course this week, I booked a 2 ball for today on golf now and had no knowledge until I got to the course that there is work being carried out on the course, ended up walking off after 11 holes, temporary greens totally ruined my days golf. I understand work needs to be carried out on courses but there should of been a prior notice given by Golf now. the course is a mess, I am fuming!!

Excellent value for money on the day.... staff very friendly and accommodating. Great day and course was in great condition a bit of a shame about the 2nd being reduced to a par 3 instead of a 4 but very good all the same..

Course was fantastic and we'll maintained. There had been a lot of overnight rain so it was wet in places but the drainage was good. Greens were exceptional and very fast even considering the rain. We played on Monday so bar and restaurant was closed so we didn't have a chance to assess that. Recommended course certainly for the £18 we got it for.

This course is great for an inner city location and definitely worth a visit. Lots of interesting bunkering around the greens and putting surfaces were in great condition.

Easy parking. Very friendly and helpful in the pro shop. Course in lovely condition. fairways well cut and greens well maintained.

Very nice bar area with outside seating overlooking the course.

Had a great day out at Shandon! Played a 4 ball with Canadian guests. Spent a bit of time in club house after. Highly recommend and staff pleasant and friendly. We will definitely be returning thanks!!

My friend and I played this beautiful course on Monday 19/06/2019.

We arrived early and were greated by a very friendly staff member who showed us to are buggy and promptly shown to first tee, in fact some junior members were held back in order to let us tee off, thanks to them for kindly waiting

The course it self played very well considering the amount of rain that had fallen in the previous week and we will not hesitate to book again we paid £15 each plus £1 each booking fee fantastic value. Thoughly enjoyed by the pair of us.

Only downside was no food available but we both enjoyed a beer!

We will be back before end of the month as we are both in are late 50s and we try to play at least 3 times a month.

Cracking course. Greens fast and true. Used every club in the bag. 10th par 3 is smashing wee hole

Course is in great shape considering the weather we've had. Greens already in great condition. Will only get quicker

greens were great, tee box's good and fairways slightly soft underfoot but played perfect.

How sad to be back at Shannon Park and see that like many other courses no one cares about the condition it has fallen into.

It would have also been nice to know the greens were sanded and hollow tined when making a booking. We would not have played. We had to play preferred lies and hundreds of areas on the fairways and tees were bare mud and no attempt to mark as GUR. Many parts have been shaved over the summer but no attempt to reseed or mark out was evident. There are some great holes at Shandon Park and it could be one of the most prestigious clubs in the Belfast area.

Some of the best greens we've played on all summer. Course held up well considering the rain we've had. Friendly staff. Will happily play again

Nice layout, fast greens, some very nice par 3s. Longest wait was for a pint after in the clubhouse. Service slow but nice pint

Its a course I've played several times and enjoy. Not too short or long.

Tee boxes (often over looked on a course) and fairways where in excellent condition. Greens I expect need a few more weeks as they appeared to be hollow tinned not too long ago. I would expect them to be excellent in a few weeks.

Very disappointed in the bunkers. Virtually no sand in them

Course is a challenge and good lay out . A little wet in places like most courses after the winter weve had . Enjoyed it cheers.
