Good course but extremely slow.
I have played Bangor a few times before and really enjoyed it, but the pace of play yesterday was ridiculously slow. We had beautiful weather conditions - after a fairly wet month - and maybe that was the reason there were so many golfers on the course but at one point there was a group on the green, another on the fairway behind them, my group behind them and 2 groups waiting on the tee! Thankfully most only played 9 holes and we were able to enjoy the back 9. Still, a very fine golf course - if it's not packed out.
Bangor Golf Course
Bit of a wet day but couldn't complain with the greens, the ball ran true! lovely to putt on.
Fairways very soft but for time of year and weather it was still enjoyable!
Tee's forward as winter time but You can tell on a warm dry day and Tee's back to normal this would be a great course to play and a great test.
Great condition
Once again this Bangor course was in great condition. Greens weren't speedy quick but decent and true and at this time of the year that's alot better than most courses who are either still temporary greens or you use that terrible plastic piece of crap! Most of the bunkers had just had new sand put in and played very well. We have not been disappointed at this course yet.
Good condition
Course is in good condition, great sunny morning, greens just mowed before we played them. So where at a good pace. Still playing of some temporary tees but no real Biggie. Really like this course get to use alot of clubs, some nice tough par 3's. We played 18 in 3hrs wasn't busy at all. Would recommend for sure
Bangor review
Played at the end of January and the course was in great condition with all full greens open & playing preferred lies. Great day out for some winter golf.
Fantastic facilities - great greens at Bangor GC
A warm welcome and great greens await at Bangor GC. We had a bit of rain which did not dampen the spirits.
Some really tricky golf shots and I had to think a lot about shot selection! Greens were fast and a pleasure to putt on.The 18th hole the pin was at the front...so definitely don't go long, as the two tier green is one of the trickiest around.
Bang On Bangor!!
Played it first thing in the morning and absolutely first class!! From arrival to leaving no problems at all. 3hrs 2mins for 3 ball 18 holes and there were a few out in the course. Green staff very accommodating and pro shop faultless. Will def play again and would even consider jkining
beautiful
what a beautiful course pure class everything about this course is outstanding from pro shop members ladies & gents also greens staff the best course ive played in over 40 yrs of golf so sorry i had to wait so long !!!!
A must play
Course is great and you will differently want to return after your round.
Bangor by the sea
Course was in great condition considering the weather we have had recently, and we were very lucky to have picked a day when the sun was shining, superb wee course where accuracy is paramount , staff were exceptionally friendly and we look forward to returning again
Bangor GC
A friendly welcome from the pro shop staff got the round off to a great start. Bangor provides a terrific walk with fairways framed by mature trees, a few elevation changes, well placed bunkers, the occasional water hazard and generous greens which all add up to the enjoyment of everyone's game.

Nice course
Enjoyed a rare day out golfing in November. Found fairways were in good condition given the rainy spell we recently had however the rough was very boggy. Greens in good condition also. I imagine this course would come into its own during the summer months.
The course was in excellent condition
I always enjoy playing this course. Close to the centre of Bangor with views over Belfast Lough from the higher points of the course. The course is well laid out with a good variety of holes. The course was in great condition. Plenty of character in the clubhouse were we enjoyed lunch.
Lovely big fairways
Played this course on xmas eve. As a novice to golf I didn't find it intimidating at all. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The course held up very well despite the saturation of heavy rain from the previous 2 days. You can tell the fairways and greens are kept well. The layout was slightly confusing at times but really looking forward to playing it again in the near future when the weather improves. Highly recommend overall.
