Needs some markers
Tee boxes have no markers on 80%. Not that hard to have some next tee markers and numbers on the tee boxes with some distance indicators. Just strange that this is overlooked. It’s not a cheap course even if it’s a par 3. The main course was not much better when I played it a few weeks back.
Beginner
Husband took me as I am keen to learn. We had a great day of golf and a lovely meal to end the day
Par 3 @ Blackwood
Excellent par 3 . well maintained although they could do with changing the flags. Friendly staff with an excellent restaurant which we had a fry up in after. 5 stars.
par 3 course
It was just ok play slow shop staff even slower getting us out on the course.
Arrived in plenty of time by the time we were able to make it to the tee box it was over 12 minutes past our tee off time
Perfect short game practise
Best par 3 course I've played. If you want to hone in your wedges and short irons this is a great course to play. 18 par 3s, all of which are great holes. The greens are kept to the same standard as the main course and make for perfect practise greens. This is my choice over the range any day.
Great par 3
I play this par 3 regularly if I'm pushed for time and only have a couple of hours to play a round . The staff are very welcoming and the facilities are great . The driving range and putting green are good . Only minor gripe is that it gets very busy when the schools are off but if your out before 11 am it's not to bad . Would recommend all round
Top Par three course !
The Temple is a par three course quite a rarity is so far that it has 18 holes as opposed to the usual nine holes and going round twice . Really is as good as it gets for this type of facility no real complaints with holes ranging from 80 yards to 180 yards set in a parkland environment all in all first class and great value for money .
Good quality par 3 course
The quality of many par 3 courses are poor but The Temple at Blackwood has very good greens and there is a good variety of holes. You get to use most clubs in your bag. Takes 2-2.30 hours to play. Hope to play again soon.
Follow the green keepers
The 1st 12 holes we had to wait on every tee box as the greens were getting tended to - very frustrating.
Great value
Took my wife out for her first game of golf and it was a great day. The Temple course is a par 3 venue and ideal for beginners, over all excellent day although the poor weather this year has taken its toll on the course.. Very wet under foot, however saying that the greens were firm and good.
