Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Eagle Landing delivers again...and again
Eagle Landing delivers again--and again. This course is the standard that ALL the local Jacksonville courses should follow--not named TPC of World Golf Village. If you have not played this course I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed. Go Play.
Slow and Unkept
Course was cart path only when it should have been 90 degree at worst. Really slowed down the play with that. Bunkers were untouched after storms (yesterday?) with rims washed out. Looks like they hadnt been kept in a while though. Sand was very very packed, hinting at a very long time since they've been 'fluffed'. Greens were below average, again, poor upkeep. The staff was fantastic- starter, cart staff all helpful and happy.
Foggy Day
On a day when most gave up due to weather, we played 14 holes of golf in foggy and eventual rainy weather. The course played great as always.
Horrible customer service/unfriendly staff
Played at this course multiple times and every time we go the staff's customer service is nonexistent. Today was no different but it was the last straw. Somehow the guy that checks you in the front office seems to think you're bugging him by trying to give his course your money. And every other employee there is so stuck up that my entire group said that somehow these people think they are the only golf course in the area. We try to play a different course at least once a month but this course will definitely not be getting me and my friends money every again! I never write reviews but if I can save my fellow golf brothers and sisters a horrible customer service experience then I'm glad. We all work hard for our dollars and we should spend it with businesses that appreciate it!
Solid choice
Conditions of the course were good. Fairways cut very thin. Greens were solid. Would play again for the GolfNow price.
Smooth fast greens
I enjoyed the speed and the smoothness of the greens. They rolled true. This time of year everything is dormant so given that it was in good shape too
Call before booking
Played the front nine and when on our way to the back nine we were told it was under construction and not open..course never mentioned at check-in or starter that only 9 holes were open.
Great value
Course is always one of the best around. Greens were receptive and fast/smooth to putt. Fairways were decent for winter with a few tee boxes bare. Overall great experience outside of pace of play. Started just before 2:30 and didn’t finish before dark.
Beautiful course
Course was in top condition as usual. It was cold, no wind and the greens were very fast. Pace of play is usually good but it was slower today. Didn’t bother us as we were not in a hurry , it was a casual outing. Great coursec
Always fun
Greens roll great and are quick as well. Tee to green is in typical winter shape. Dormant bermudagrass with very thin lies which is to be expected.
We love playing here
Good course sleepy starter.
Overall the course was okay but the starter was not doing his job, just a sleepy old guy -play was extremely slow my foursome had to wait on every hole for the individuals ahead of us to move to their next shots no starter or Marshall nowhere around and there was at least two holes open in front of the guys that we played behind. Our group had a 12:48 tee time and it took us over 5 hours to finish play.
One of the better courses in Jax.
I seen a marshal 4 times during my round and I’m not sure why they are out there. The group in front of us was soo slow from the very first Tee. Not sure when the group in front of them moved forward but we caught up to them on several holes where you could see they were not being held up. Marshall’s should be reminding people of their pace. I wish they would communicate to all the golfers.
Fun course, lame staff
Really enjoyed the course. Great condition. Nice range and practice area. A lot better than I expected.
My only knock is everyone working there seemed to be having a bad day. From pro shop, to rangers, cart girl and server for lunch. No one smiled. Everyone was short with us. Just not pleasant. Ranger was constantly on us even though pace of play was absolutely fine. We saw ranger 3x more often than beverage cart. Terrible ratio.
If the staff was friendlier this would be one of my favorite courses in Jax.
