Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Good course sleepy starter.
Overall the course was okay but the starter was not doing his job, just a sleepy old guy -play was extremely slow my foursome had to wait on every hole for the individuals ahead of us to move to their next shots no starter or Marshall nowhere around and there was at least two holes open in front of the guys that we played behind. Our group had a 12:48 tee time and it took us over 5 hours to finish play.
One of the better courses in Jax.
I seen a marshal 4 times during my round and I’m not sure why they are out there. The group in front of us was soo slow from the very first Tee. Not sure when the group in front of them moved forward but we caught up to them on several holes where you could see they were not being held up. Marshall’s should be reminding people of their pace. I wish they would communicate to all the golfers.
Fun course, lame staff
Really enjoyed the course. Great condition. Nice range and practice area. A lot better than I expected.
My only knock is everyone working there seemed to be having a bad day. From pro shop, to rangers, cart girl and server for lunch. No one smiled. Everyone was short with us. Just not pleasant. Ranger was constantly on us even though pace of play was absolutely fine. We saw ranger 3x more often than beverage cart. Terrible ratio.
If the staff was friendlier this would be one of my favorite courses in Jax.
Great Course for $50 or Less!!
Maybe $60 if you Consistently Shot 78 or Less. People NEED 2 REPAIR Their Freakn DIVOTS on the Greens & the Fairways!!
Eagle Rain Day
The course was wet from shattered showers. 90 deg only. Pace of play was great with the Sat special breakfast, and lunch with a free beer included in the cost.
Love EL!
Rain off and on didn’t ruin our time. Play here often! Course was in good shape, pace was alright, beers were cold!!
Public service announcement: EL does have a 2 person per cart policy. They will let you pay $20 for your own cart. If you have to have your own cart, don’t play here!
Eagle Landing delivers again
Eagle Landing delivers again. Great day, great course. in great condition. Highly recommend this course to all skill levels.
One of my favorites.
Always a fun course to play. Always in great shape. Lots of fun.
RUDE!!!!! RUDE!!!! RUDE!!!!!
THE STARTER WAS AN ***HOLE! WOULD NOT LET US TAKE OUR OWN CARTS. SAID WE HAD TO PAIR UP OR COULD NOT PLAY. THE GUY IN THE PRO-SHOP WAS ZERO HELP- ALSO HAD NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING- RUDE. MY BUDDY DOES NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE RIDING WITH ANYBODY YET. HE MADE TWO SINGLES RIDE TOGETHER?????? WHAT ABOUT THIS COVID THING???? WHAT SUCKS IS THAT I LIVE 2 MINS FROM THIS COURSE. I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!
Great layout
Great layout with great conditions. No GPS on carts for those who don’t have range finders or a decent app on their phone. Fairways did have sprinkler heads with distance to middle of green. Played longer than marked due to wind.
Great Course Non caring Staff
I was on a mini getaway with my family and my son and I wanted to play a round before we headed back home. The course was in great condition and the layout was great. Greens were quick and the faiways in great condition. The staff from the clubhouse to cart guys could honestly care less about me and it was more like I was bothering them for playing a round at 3 in the afternoon. If they can fix that they would be 5 star.
Great course
The course was in great shape , as usual. Got right on at our scheduled tee time. Pace of play was terrible. There was a foursome in front of us with two very new players. Course etiquette would have been great to let us play through.
Rainy day play
Enjoyed our round in the rain off back nine. Stopped at the turn and had lunch able to complete front nine wet but playable course in great condition even with cart path only and no other players out. Friendly staff and excellent food.
Great shape
This course has been in great shape all summer and even better as we go into the fall thick Ralph’s in good rolling greens
