Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

great shape fast greens !
everything is fantastic except for one employee who is always yelling obscenities and just genuinely being rude ! I play here 3-6 times a month and he’s always the same way ! it’s a shame !
Pleasantly Surprised
Course is in great shape. Greens are pure, fairways look like a CC and except for 1or2 tee boxes I couldn`t find anything that needs work. Great job to the super and his staff. You will not find a public course in better shape in this area.
In Great shape as usual
Course was in great shape and I was surprised how dry it was with all the rain we had lately. wonderful drainage system! Fastest greens on this side of town. If you don't use golf now its too expensive to play here compare to what I use to pay to golf here.
Had a great first experience
My first time playing this course. I’d call it a hidden gem. Starter kept everyone on pace getting out. Saw the ranger twice making sure pace of play was kept up. Only held up on 2 holes. Fairly forgiving course. I only remember 18 green being in rough shape and in need of repairs. They had a lunch special which was a great value after the round. Will definitely be back.
Great course
The course is always in great shape and the staff does a lot to maintain pace of play. I love that they added the GPS screens to the golf carts. It's one of the more expensive courses but my favorite in the area.
The greens have taken a tremendous downfall
I play Eagle regularly, almost the only course I play when I am able. They punched at the very end of may, and the greens have been struggling ever since, combined with the lack of rain (can’t blame that on them) they are really tough to play. Normally they are fantastic, and were rolling great in April/may. Fairways and tee boxes are mint, and looks and feel fantastic. Price isn’t bad but currently not worth the morning price for the greens. Other than that it’s a fantastic layout with great staff, and will gladly be back when the greens have healed hopefully.
Good day to play
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was slow. Waited on very hole. Course was being preped to go under repair for the next few days. I enjoyed playing this course. I am Looking forward to playing after the repairs are completed.
Expected better…..
Overall course conditions were just fair. Greens were pretty good but not great by any means. Sprigs of weeds just about throughout the course. Rough was non existent on half the holes. Maybe more. Very thin. Tee boxes were very weedy and not in great shape. Even bunkers were very inconsistent. What does it take to hire a guy that knows what he’s doing and give him the budget to do it. Only answer is money. Course seems pretty busy but why not spend some more of it to get the course up to better conditions. It seems to be a theme in this part of the state. Queens Harbor was generally much better and paid less. So it can be done. 🤷🏻♂️
Meh
Course isn’t what it used to be. Range is an uneven sand pit, should just hit off mats at this point.
Course conditions leave something to be desired. Greens aren’t terrible, but aren’t great like the past. Tee boxes are in poor shape. Fairways are decent.
For the price they are charging, I’d say it’s become overpriced.
Great Value
Course was a little dry but great condition. Healthy greens, fairways and tee boxes. For this price point its a very good value
