Falls Village Golf Course

I like Falls Village; I want so bad for it to return to better conditions overall. The people there are nice and I love the layout and the greens are great. I don’t know what happened to fairway grass?

The course is tucked away in the woods and has a nice layout. I enjoyed playing there but it was also in rough shape. Many of the fairways were bare and all of the sand traps were dried up mud and some of the greens were torn up. Could be a nice course if it was maintained better. If it was $30 bucks it would be worth it but for close to $50 it does not seem like you get what you pay for.

This course is barely playable. Rock hard dry fairways with no grass growing, no sand in any trap and the greens are crunchy and bumpy. Just terrible …you’re ruining a good layout.

Please repair your sand traps. They are a disgrace for a nice layout. Also since you spent all that money on redoing the greens why don’t you take better care of them?

New greens are in great shape - firm and fast. Everything else is in rough condition. Grounds are overly firm to a point of being dangerous, it’s like hitting off asphalt. Fairways are dead. Sand traps have no sand in them, they’re clay with a drop zone on the side of the greens.

The fairways are in terrible condition. The entire golf course need plenty of water. However, the greens are good maintained. The course layout is very nice and challenging.

They put in bermuda greens last year and they're coming along really nice. Bunkers are all GUR right now but that's ok with me. Fairways are good not great. Rough is a little rough but I always have a good day with my short game or here bc the grass around the greens is good. It makes for good chipping.

Overall it's not perfect but real nice and for the money, you won't find a much better deal.

As one of my favorite courses to play in the Raleigh-Durham area, I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course for the first time this year.

The entire course was very well maintained and manicured. Greens were lightly sanded, in a good way. Absolutely no roots and consistent, smooth and very clean putting surface throughout all 18. Very “green” course.

Only criticism: cart paths. Smooth those out….10 out of 10.

Overall: a fun, challenging, clean and great course to play.

Greens so dried out it was like playing on a pool table. No approach shots or chips would hold the green. Everything rolled off. Almost had to aim to come up 20 yards short and roll it onto the green. If you hit the green, your ball was rolling off! Golfers shouldn’t be penalized for landing balls on the green because greens are too dried out and hard.

This is a nice layout but it's not in the greatest shape. It's also a challenging layout because of small greens and tight targets. The subpar conditions mean you're occasionally penalized for a perfectly good shot--disappointing anywhere but especially so on a course where little errors can cost you a lot. I took a beating today. The 4.5 hour pace didn't help--I realize that's not terrible for a weekend but it's not great either. We waited on nearly every tee. It's inexpensive, that's its greatest selling point.

It’s our favorite local course here in Raleigh. Affordable and good greens. Nothing better than a Friday or Saturday twilight tee time at Falls

fairways thin but time of year. no traps but didn't effect my enjoyment. greens perfect. good layout. good price on teeoff.com. fairly difficult course. I will play it again.
