Falls Village Golf Course

Course is in decent shape but they are pretty much refusing to put sand in the traps. Greens were smooth and fast. Some greens had repairs going on but mostly near the aprons. Fairways were cut and well as the rough and tee boxes. Just would be nice to start maintaining the bunkers again.

This course offers a round of golf at a reasonable price and not much more. Many people have mentioned the bunkers being out of commission and some say who cares. However, bunker play is integral to golf and the risk reward component of bunkers is what gives a layout intrigue. Since you can just pull your bull out of a fairway bunker their is no consideration really added due to their placement and this affects the course quality. Additionally, the routing is unwalkable, and the terrain isnt spectacular enough to warrant this. Due to this factor cart paths are cut absurdly close to the playing areas. Average players hit the ball every which way imaginable and when cart paths are 5 yards off of fairways and within 10 yards of a green, it simply does not make sense. If the course had genrous width and provides you options this issue could be forgiveable but the playing corridors are incredibly narrow with no chance of a recovery if your ball gets severely off path. Out of bounds doesnt make golf fun at all and there is out of bounds everywhere here. The one positive that I have is that the course plays very firm which allows golfers of all skill levels to at least get some generous roll and to possibly run their shots up when the course allows. Unfortunately the design doesnt allow the maintenace team to take full use of this on many holes that require aerial approaches. The greens were also in very good shape considering the low greens fees. Its not an intriguing design and not one I'd come back to.

People that complain about this course are the people who hid in the sand. Get over the sand traps which are getting worked on. If you complain hit off the Red tees and please help my mom from the wheelchair when you Tee off.

all traps are dirt with designated drop areas. Greens rolling well, just roll every lie and you will have fun.

Course was a good layout. No sand in the bunkers. Played in 3 hours so pace of play was good.

I'm sorry, but not sorry. Golf without sand traps is not golf It's something else. These gigantic pits are filled with water and if you're ball wanders in its good bye ball. Saw five people in the group ahead. The guys I played with said "they were members. They run the place." Plus, the greens where super slow. Way too slow. If you don't mind awful sandless traps, slow play and slow greens, this is your golf course.

Very good course to play from the whites. I am a 13.1 handicap. This golf course is a great play.

The Sand Traps need sand not mud.

Love the course that isn’t house lined. Of course as other reviews have indicated, the bunkers are still being worked on. Playing partners agreed at the beginning to consider bunkers hazards and just replace outside of it. Great layout, fairways and greens were fantastic. I think I used every club in my bag which indicates interesting strategy. I highly recommend a visit.

Fairways and greens were in perfect condition, sand traps are still under repair but overall course is in really great shape.

Excellent Staff, Course in very good condition.. Not fault of theirs, course still a little wet...I will return...

First of all i've always liked the layout. The greens are fantastic. Really need to work on fairway conditions and there's no sand in the traps, hasn't been the last rounds i've played here. Hopefully this will change soon. Its a great challenge just needs maintenance.
