Falls Village Golf Course

I was questioned about my attire as I was wearing a Tiger low collar shirt. I was told the pro wants to bring more traditional attire back to the golf course. While I appreciate that, you might want to get some grass in your fairways and sand in your sand traps before you worry about what I am wearing. My last trip to Falls!

Fairways have no grass. Bunkers have no sand. Greens were punched which is okay but the remnants weren’t removed and were left around the greens. I wouldn’t play here again if it was $5 green fee.

Falls Village has a great layout with a mix of some challenging as well as straightforward holes; my son and I definitely enjoyed playing the course. The fairways weren't typically too narrow, but if you hit wide, don't expect to find your ball due to the woods and some hazards. The hilly course provides some visibility challenges if you don't know the layout. The sand traps were being repaired so you had to remove the ball and play out of the trap (a bonus for me). While the greens were well maintained, the main drawback was that the fairways were not in good shape on virtually every hole; lots of bare/semi-bare spots, which led to lots of poor lies even when you hit the ball well. Still overall a very good value!

I really like the layout. The greens and around them are good.

Traps are waste areas. Fairways need water badly That is why I said I would not recommend playing there now.

This course used to be in excellent shape just a few years ago. It’s apparent they are not maintaining the fairway conditions. I know we haven’t had much rain this spring but their sister courses (The Preserve and Chapel Ridge) are in fine shape….the owners must be using this course as a write off….and I have also written this course off my list.

It was under construction and non of the bunkers were functional. Also, half if the fairways didnt have grass or had a ton of weeds. The greens and tee boxes were in good shape though

This course is owned by the same owners as The Preserve and Chapel Ridge. But you would never know it. Terrible conditions.

given where is course was 5-10 years ago.... this is sad to see. shame on owner(s) for allowing this course to get in such poor shape/condition. of the 70+ bunkers on this well designed course.... absolutly none are playable. the owners should get out of the golf business.... they have a duty to keep the couse in somewhat playable shape.... they've done none of that. add this course to others like olde liberty that could be nice with a little TLC... but none of that exist currently. falls village has officially entered the "dog track" conversation.

again shame on owner(s) for allowing this course to get to this point. i will not play again.... ever... and current owner(s) are to blame. you guys need to get out of the golf course owing business....

I was very surprised by the poor condition of the course. Every hole had lots of areas of bare soil along fairways and washouts on most sloped areas of fairways. Sand traps had NO SAND - only mud & rocks. The best part of this course were the greens. I would not play this course again for free.
