The greens had a few bare spots but still very playable

Usually 5 stars across the board for this course and crew but the Greens are miserable right now. You can tell they are working to fix the problem (lots of sand on the Greens) but overuse and two heat waves have burnt them to pieces. I've no doubt these guys will get it righted soon. Love Callahan.!

I played the course for the first time. It was a lot of fun.It was a great deal for the money!

The owners have put a lot into improving conditions since early spring. They top dressed the greens that morning making the greens a little slow and bumpy, but still putted fair. They've done a lot to improve the tee boxes and fairways since all the winter wear. The traps could use dressing, but were overall good.

Callahan's is a great value and a challenge for all levels of golfers.

This course is challenging but short enough to be fun. The greens were slow the day we played. Staff was very friendly.

The weather has not been favorable for this course this summer. The greens and tee boxes where not up to the normal acceptable condition from previous rounds at the course.

Got to play 9 holes because of an incoming storm, was offered raincheck on the turn. Greens were in poor shape, some tee boxes very rough. For the price being charged, it's not worth it. I've always liked the layout here, but until conditions improve, I may not be back.

We had a good time . The fairway were great the greens were not so great . The practice area for putting is what I was expecting for the greens but they were nothing like it . The staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely go back as I shot a 82 for the first time playing from the white tees :) . Thanks

Callhan is always what you expect. This ain't no fancy country club. It's just country with ordinary folks and lots of retirees looking for bargains. And most usually friendly.

The course is in good shape overall for what you pay for. Fairways in good shape and tee boxes mostly ok except the heavily shaded areas. The problem is always the greens. They keep them very long and shaggy. This means VERY SLOW. Like you are putting on the fringe all the way to the hole. I know they don't want them to die out, but cut and roll them.

The course is in pretty good shape considering the heat and lack of rain. Fairways have some thin spots but are playable. Greens have been 10-penny nail type punched. The result is the greens are a little rough but still OK. Just putting (or getting) a lot of water on the course for a few days would move it up to a 5-star rating.

We have always enjoyed the friendly interaction with the staff at this course. My son & I played the course for the 1st time in about 6 weeks because of temp & greens being aerated. Although we enjoyed our round, we were quite disappointed at the condition of the greens. They were extremely slow, had numerous bumpy sections, & even bare areas..

I still recommend this course to others, but with the prices increasing we have recently played other courses

similarly priced & in better condition. .

this course is dried out from the tea boxes fairways and greens. Sometimes it is even hard to put a tea in the tea boxes and the fairways need to be watered. The greens have just been aerated but they need a lot and I mean a lot of water. Some show signs of major burn out and tthe Course should probably install some fans around the greens.

Staff are ok but nothing special.No ranger or cart person all day.Pace of play was fine but this place needs watering and a lot of rain.

Will give it a month before returning
