About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Great course for the money
We enjoyed the course. Very playable. Staff friendly. Not tight up to the houses.

Greenkeepers revenge
Absurd pin placements, especially on 18. Only interesting thing about the course was the island green.
Go play Poston Butte
First time playing and will hopefully get back on the course in the near future. Other than very firm and slow greens course is in great shape. Tees, fairways and greens lush, green and plenty of grass. Would definitely recommend.
Great Layout and Conditions
I was hesitant to write one because I don’t want more people to drive all the way there and take up tee times! I love the course green conditions, fairways, and tee boxes were amazing. Fun course layout that allows players to find more green than sand and dirt than usual desert courses.
Played with my son, who unfortunately beat me, and he loved it as well. Great time and friendly and helpful staff with great customer service. Highly recommend
Course is beautiful!
This was a relaxing round of golf with my sons. The greens rolled true and the speed would get your attention. Pace of play was slow over 4 1/2 hours. Didn’t have time to enjoy the restaurant this time but have before and it was very good. This is a great experience and will be back again.
Marshall
We have been golfing here since 2008 of and on I don’t understand why a Marshall or even 2 when the course is fully booked for the day is non existent. You always have your regulars that treat the course like it’s their personal course and don’t care who there holding up as long as they can get 18 holes in.
Greens have improved
Last spring the greens were hard and bumpy. Played this week the greens are soft grass has regrown and are in very good condition. Just out of overseed so a bit slower than usual however great to play.

This course is in excellent condition! Price is fair for the time of year. Staff was great!! Highly recommend!
