About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Great Summer conditions
The management pays close attention to details ... make the drive if you are in Phoenix... the greens have repaired from aeration, tee boxes are good, fairways and rough are well above average.
Good course
Greens were in good condition. Roled true, a bit slow. Course was in good condition. Always an enjoyable round. Wide fairways, well placed bunkers. Would recommend playing for anyone who hasn't.
AZ summer golf
Great day out before Poston Butte closed to airate and sand the greens.
Will play again in a few weeks.

This course is in pretty good shape after their summer aerification. Once it comes back completely, it will be really nice!

Course is healing up from being punched but got a great deal on green fee. Very fun track w/ excellent staff.
First time
Played Summer conditions. Course was in better shape than most for this time of year. Lots of sand. Range was nice. Clubhouse very nice. Course is well laid out. Worth the drive.
