About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Fun and Fair
Good track, 35 minutes from the house or I'd play it once a week.
Green fees are reasonable. Won't regret making the trip out there.
Good food. Reasonable priced. Great layout, just a bit close tee times and no rangers that caused a bit of slower play
Excellent course!
Postom Butte was in excellent shape! Greens were soft enough to hold approach shots.only complaint we were 12:50 tee time and it was a hot day and there was no ice water in any of the on course igloo coolers..
Great Value
Course in great shape! Best grass I’ve played on this season, reasonably priced! Will play again!
Marshall
This course needs a marshall driving around the course making sure people are playing at pace! They are great at getting you out on time! I play a lot of golf and this round took me 5 1/2 hours which is the longest round ever played. Everything else was good.
Cooler Policy
I like this track. It has all the elements for providing a wonderfull experience. I do object to the "no food or drink"(cooler) policy which may result in patrons incurring on -site expenses.
Long drive from Scottsdale
But worth it. The only complaint was the howling wind. The whole course was in excellent condition. 17 took me back to PGA West Island green. Will play it again..

Awesome Round. Pace of play was fabulous. Like always, PB is in perfect condition.
Fees
Are you kidding to buy from the cart girl with your credit card you charge 20% extra!! I would consider that a complete rip off of your guests!!

Poston was in really good shape, the greens were a little slow which was not expected that late in the afternoon! Course was fabulous thou great shape, will be back for sure

Great Experience
Beautiful course, T boxes, fairways & greens all in excellent condition. Very much appreciated that there was sand in the bunkers, something lacking in most of the courses we've played this year. Overall, very enjoyable round and also had a great meal at the restaurant. Would recommend to family & friends and will certainly play here again.
