About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Worth the Drive
Poston is a bit out there in the south east valley but worth the trip. Practice facilities are excellent. Course is in great condition. Greens run fast. Course is suitable for players of all levels. Enjoy

This course is in excellent shape right now. Everything was fantastic to play on.
Poston Butte is a beautiful course
I wanted a course that was in good shape and had a decent practice area. Oh, plus I needed to rent clubs. This place has it all, the practice range balls are included and it is grass, not mats!! They have a great chipping practice area and the practice putting green is just like the greens on course so you can really practice. The rental clubs are Callaway Mavericks and an Odyssey putter so very nice. The course is in excellent shape with beautiful fairways and is challenging with bunkers in the fairways. Loved the par 3 water hole too. If I had a knock it would be somewhat slow play but not too bad. I played early 8am to avoid the backups but it was still a bit slow. Overall A+ experience and I will go back next time I am in town.

The conditions were pristine!
Me and my son(18) loved it and we have pretty high expectations and play a lot of golf courses!
Hole 17 with the island green was a perfect finishing hole and then hole 18 is a par 5 that gives you a possibility for a birdie also‼️
A windy day with rare rain showers in March.
Very nice layout and greens in good conditions. Nevertheless the greens can be difficult to navigate because of the undulations. The hole #17 Island green is reminiscent of #17 at Sawgrass. Fun to take the challenge.

Really nice golf course! Only down fall is that it really needs a ranger play was slow!!
