Poston Butte Golf Club

Love playing Poston Butte. Due to the booming housing market I'm guessing the members are the ones taking up all the tee times more than 7 days in advance. I was only able to secure one tee time 7 days prior (7a for a single) or chance running out of daylight taking a tee time less than 3.5 hrs before sundown. I had 3 others that wanted to join me but to pay $100 for 13-15 holes is not worth it so they backed out and I grabbed the early single. If the rate continues to increase every year this might not be a course in my rotation coming from Mn.

Course was enjoyable, played hard on a very windy day. Club house and food great. Practice facility was ok. Friendly staff. Worth the money.

Poston is a regular course for me to play. Conditions for the course are very good. Excellent practice area and very friendly and helpful staff! Greens are fast, which is great. Price at this time is a bit too high but that’s true at this time of year all over the valley.

Had a great time golfing here. Greens are super challenging but balanced by wide open fairways and desert that you can actually find your ball in . Staff are very helpful and facilities are first rate.

Great course for the price. The tee boxes are a little hairy, the greens too firm and the pin placements very difficult. With that said, for the money, it’s a great course and I’ll definitely be back.

Excellent in every way then again when Troon manages your course It will always be great.

Maybe something other courses should learn to do.

know one minds paying a higher fee with a great course.

Pace of play a bit off.

Excellent value if you are willing to make the trip. Great course great greens and practice facility. Reasonable price compared to Phoenix courses.

Where everybody knows your name!

I have played this course many times, always a great course, always in excellent condition. But as of late seems like if you’re not part of the community or part of the the “ good old boys network “ you don’t feel very welcome. I was rushed to the tee box by a very abrasive starter. Unless he knew you, then the interaction was different. Was told that only 2 Carts Can Drive on the fairway at one time With no explanation as to why .So if the people you’re playing with have their own carts and now there’s three carts in the group how is that fair to someone who’s paying for a cart not to be able to drive on the fairway.. Never saw a marshal the entire day.

There was also no one there to clean the clubs after the round but I went to use the bathroom and came back, someone had over turn the cooler into the back and got all of my clubs wet. So someone was there to clean the cooler I guess.. But thanks for the wet bag.

For the amount of money that golf courses are charging Right now it would be nice to feel a little bit more welcome!

We've been playing and enjoying Poste Butte for 15 years. The course is always in good shape. The staff is always very professional and courteous.

everything is great, only problem was pace of play yesterday, did not finish due to darkness would have been almost a five hour round.
