About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

I think this is one of the nicest courses in the southeast Phoenix area. Great practice facility, well groomed and maintained course and great greens. I’ve played it three times so far and never had a bad experience.
Better players will really enjoy it.
This is a Troon course?
A 2-some in flip flops was let off before us. Turns out, they wer both awful players, playing from the tips, hitting 3 tee shots each, throwing hissy fits after each shank, and giving each other lessons in the fairway. Took them almost 30 minutes to play the 3rd hole. Called the pro shop and requested the ranger come and talk to them. Turns out no ranger. So they say they would send someone out to talk to them. No one every showed up. Absolutely terrible customer service from a Troon course. Not worth the drive and money. Go somewhere else.

nice course in very good condition. Greens are fast and slick. If you can get a decent price definitely worth playing. Usually breezy to windy.
Great course
Excellent conditions overall. With the speed of the greens and the wind, putting was a challenge on some greens. Would recommend flat pin placements on a windy day.
