About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Great round
Weekend before over seed and course could not have been better. Awesome fairways and good rolling greens.
Great shape
Course is very nice right now and pricing still very reasonable.
Wide open and well maintained
Second time playing in three years. With ideal conditions (i. e., little wind), this course is a joy to see and play. It is well maintained and spacious; very few hazards (desert vegetation) off the tee. Greens are immaculate and true. The staff were available, friendly, and attentive (no lie!). A very good value, only drawback is drive time from Tucson and Phoenix metro areas.
Great Course
The staff was friendly, professional, and courteous! The course was in excellent condition and very playable. The greens and tees were in good condition too. I look forward to playing here again in the future.
Wide open
Course was wet and soft because of recent rain and watering. Wide open fairways,green were very good condition .Great range and practice area.
Challenging and very fun course.
Enjoyable Round - Will Definitely Play Again
First time here. Nice course. Mostly strainht holes. Reading the greens are a challenge. Staff friendly. Great value. Worth the ride to Florence.
Great place to play
This was by far the best kept up course we played this summer. Entire staff was very pleasant and friendly. All areas of the golf course in great shape. Sand traps with actual sand in them. Definitely need to play straight. Not alot of forgiveness for real errant shots. Playing again next week. Thanks
Long dive but it’s worth it
The fairways were in good shape. The green where just punched but they are coming back. It is worth playinf
Great course
Great course, great price, great shape. The only minor problemwas that we didn’t see a drink cart Until the Teebox of the ninth hole. But that’s not worth taking a star away from the course for it. Great experience, will definitely be back
Great course
Kind of a bummer the bar doesn’t open until 11 on a weekend. Otherwise course was solid.
