About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Excellent design
The course is excellent design, fun to play. Fairways are wide and easy to hit with bunkers placed strategically. to temp you to play dangerous. Greens are challenging to read and will test your putting.
Tough greens
Course very playable. Greens were it's best defense fast and ungulating.
Worth the Drive
Beautiful and challenging course. Got paired with locals, which helped a lot navigating the course. Staff and facilities are top notch. Will definitely come back again.
Nice course!
Course was in good condition. Lots of bunkers to find. Challenging course. No ranger seen to see how things were going! Need to be able to drop off clubs closer to parking lot when done. Have to carrying them too far.
Good layout but tight lies and very difficult greens
Ball doesn't sit up on fairways and they were a little damp. Wet, tight lies. Greens seemed to be dormant and packed, crazy fast.
Great price and conditions
Course is a ways out of town but is worth the drive. Great price and great conditions.

Despite significant frost delay, starter got us out nearly on time. Course was in great shape. Greens are full of challenges.
A Real Nice Course for All Handicaps
Staff and Starter kept everyone on-time. Fairways wide and rolling, with wide, clean and open pebble side boarders. Greens rolling, at a doable stimp, and true.
Best greens around right now. Fast. Course in great condition.
Great shape
Course came out of overseed a little over a week ago and is in fantastic condition! Highly recommend playing here.
Worth the Drive
Beautiful conditions and very playable. Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Great facilities. Course is medium difficulty and playable for all levels. Make the drive out. You will enjoy your round.
Nice course in the middle of nowhere
I like this course. Too bad its about an hour from chandler. Course had just opened up a=father over seeding, so it was cart paths only. Price was reasonable and fairways were in good shape, although as typical for so soon after overseeing, very wet early in the AM when i played. Greens had been verti-cut and were a bit slow also, coming out of over seeding. Still a really good course, an excellent value and a great time.
