The Georgia Club - Chancellors Red/Black Course

The club is excellent. Couse was very challege. Money pay is worth.

The Georgia Club is a first class facility. The clubhouse is very impressive, the restaurant is top notch (we had an awesome brunch) and the staff literally caters to your every need. The 27 holes of golf were just short of amazing. I have played at over 100 courses in North Georgia and I would put this course in the top 3 or 4.

If you wanted to entertain a client or organize a group outing, I cannot imagine a better place to golf.

The layout of the course gives you many different looks. You do have some risk/ reward holes on this course. The only reason I didn't give the course conditions an excellent was due to the greens being aerated.

Greens had been aerated with large holes and sand filled. They will be great, but I would wait a few weeks to play there again if smooth greens are important to you. This is a great course when the greens are healed.

If you are looking for great greens The Georgia Club is not going to disappoint. Fantastic set of three nines that all play uniquely different. The Black might be the most challenging with several stout par fours. Nice collection of par threes with water in play. Enjoyable routing through secluded woods makes for a course where you will want to return. You could play here everyday!

I know this may be a drive for some of us, but take the time and go play this course. There are three nines, and it is just a beautiful setting for a golf course.

Very friendly staff as well, i think that makes a difference
when you put down money to play golf.
They dont make you feel like just a body passing thru their course.

I have played this course on several occasions and each experience has been a "10". The greens are spectacular, fairways plush and there are no "tricked up" holes on any of the 3 nine hole courses. I play black/silver as a single, and passed three groups who were very cordial as they invited to me to play through. I had not planned on playing this particular Friday, but when I saw an available mid morning tee at @ $50 discounted fee I could not resist.

This course is by far one of the best courses in Georgia. Highly recommend. If you can find a tee time for $50 or less jump on it. It is well worth the price.

This was my second time playing The Georgia Club and I enjoyed it. I played on a Golfnow hot deal on a weekday afternoon, this is the only way I can afford to play this course. The staff was super freindly and helpful. Conditions were pristine as they were last year when I played here. The fairways were clean and cut. There isn't much deep rough around the course, and fairways are relatively wide, so the play is forgiving. The sand traps were well maintained, and the sand fluffy. Greens were pristine and rolled true. This course is fun too play!

Was running late and missed tee time but was worked right in by staff. Slow day during the week so it worked out. Nice course. Was not disappointed.

Played on weekday afternoon, not crowded at all. Golf course in super shape from tees to greens. generous fairways and greens on red and silver course. Sand bunkers are the only major hazards but consistent through out. Definitely will play again.

The staff was so friendly and the course was really well maintained and the greens were receptive and true. I really liked playing there. The pro showed me around his changes due to 9 holes of 27 being reworked. The other staff was very friendly and helpful. They have the best carts I have ever been on. Although if I go out again alone ( my golf buddy won't walk) I will give this great layout a stroll.
Two issues I have and they were simply irritating and no big deal. 5 stars if these were fixed. Kitchen closes at 2:30. No hot dogs...darn. But I have never played anywhere you couldn't get a dog at the turn even at 10 am. The staff did hook us up with some left over wraps, chips and drink for a five spot. Bonus!
The other problem is more serious and one that I am sure plauges golf courses everywhere. Ball marks are like trophies there. They are either poorly repaired or not repaired at all. I limit myself to three per green and that didn't help here at all. The is semi-private so I imagine the members hold much of the blame. Fix your Darn Ball marks people. Properly. These free sleepers work hard and these are truly great. They are receptive and true except for the duffers who won't take a moment to look around. Some of them looked like trophies out there. Pity.
Overall. A great course and experience. My best round of the season.

Wonderful golf course - staff was very helpful and the starter had everyone on time and moving well. The course is in immaculate condition - greens are beautiful. A very enjoyable experience, can't wait to go back.

You can always expect to play a course that is in great shape. The area had some rain the night before and the drainage was great making for a very playable setup. This is a challenging course from the black tees with a premium placed on your tee shot.

Great golf course, great design, and pace of play is good. Wish the other players would repair ball marks in the green, but great course otherwise.

Great course overall. Only downfalls:
Range balls are not included so you'll need to purchase.
They have separate areas at range for 'member's vs. 'guest'. Thought that was a bit weird.
Greens looked to be punched several weeks ago. It would have been nice if we were notified prior to teeing off.

only played 9 holes due to health problems but i have played the second nine before and its the 2nd most difficult of the three nines 1st 9 was the red easiest, 2nd 9 black toughest 3rd 9 silver moderate

Good conditions, friendly staff and excellent pace, played in 3:45 and we let a twosome through. Had our choice of courses on back 9, red or silver, which was very nice. Will continue to keep this very nice club in the rotation.
