The Georgia Club - Chancellors Red/Silver Course

This is one of my favorite courses to play. The staff is friendly and the course is always very well maintained. I just hope I can get back in the Athens area more often to play this course.

Wonderful layout! Tee Boxes, Fairways, bunkers, greens, and cartpaths were all you could ask for. It has been over a year since my last visit and I loved the course. It takes me almost an hour to get here, otherwise I would be here every week. I love fast greens and was not disappointed. The ball rolls great. Can't wait to play here again. Thank you golfnow for having this great value.

Top notch 27 hole facility that's always well maintained and offers all the amenities expected of a private country club. All three nines offer challenging but fair layouts consisting of rolling hills, tree lined fairways, bunker guarded landing areas and greens, white sand traps, lateral and water hazards and true greens. The only thing better than playing 18 @ The Georgia Club would be playing all 27 holes in one day.

I play a lot of golf around the Atlanta area and I don't think there's a better course for the money. Very affordable greens fees and I think their greens right now are comparable to private clubs in the area. 27 holes and each nine is enjoyable. I'll be out there again soon!

The course was in good shape and the greens were pretty fast. We played in a little over 4 hours, and didn't have to wait even as a twosome until the last 4 or 5 holes. In general the course was in good shape, and had some holes with some decent personality.

All three of the nine hole courses here at The Georgia Club are, in my opinion, terrific layouts. Rolling hills covered in beautiful hardwoods and pines, and an occasional pond, or lake, sometimes make your round feel more like a stroll through some scenic park rather than a challenging day at the links. The Red, the Black and the Silver, the names given the three nines, are fair endeavors with a dose of challenge sprinkled in; just the right amount of challenge to keep you on your mental toes, but not enough to make you reconsider your choice of layouts, or even why you took up golf to begin with. No, I think that anyone who decides to spend a few hours knocking the little white ball around on any of the Red, Black, or Silver nines, will come away with a thought of 'time well spent'.

This is probably the nicest course that I've played. The greens are well maintained . The staff is very helpful and will come to your car and load your clubs for you. There are 3 nine hole courses and the staff will tell you which ones you play. I'm sure in the spring this course is magnificent. I did get a lot of practice with the sand traps, they are numerous on every hole. The weather was lousy that day, but overall this was my favorite course. It's a little pricier than most courses, but well worth the money.

Very nice layout, however, the course did not reflect greens had been aerated. I sought the Pro out after the round to give feedback and he said they'd been aerated 3 weeks ago. In mind mind, how long ago they were aerated is not a factor, the current condition should dictate the condition. There are other, more moderately priced, options in the area that are nearly as good and a much better value; namely UGA and Lane Creek.

Have played all winter and enjoyed every bundles up in layers or just slacks and a sweater. Course is in great shape. Take your times on the greens they are quick. Can't wait for the spring and everything to green up.

Course is in great shape. Had to play cart path only because of the recent rains, with the fairways on most holes fairly wide it takes a little longer to play than normal unless you are good enough to place every shot near the cart path.

Great course. The grounds were perfectly manicured. The greens are amazing, quick but held well.

The staff was super friendly from the moment we drove up; welcomed us to the club & pro-shop and througout check-in. They made us feel wanted and important. Best in area for hospitality.

Got out as a single. Greens are in great shape. Bunkers are well maintained. Always enjoy the Georgia Club..
