Course in rough shape
Tee boxes, fairways in rough shape. Greens heavily sanded right now. Course needs a lot of maintenance to be ready for winterbirds.
Course needs lots of work.
I have played Coral Oaks many times and this is the worst shape I have seen it in ever. One hole shut down due to dredging for some sort of drainage system. The greens were in rough shape and diseased. Fairways were nice and rough was shaggy. Course is playable but could be so much better. I am hopeful that the crew is working on these improvements
Good course in less than ideal shape
I have played this course many times over the last 15 years.it was always in good condition with good fairways, tee boxes and fast firm greens. They are installing a new irrigation system which should help but on some holes there were big area of bare fairway, greens had large bare patches and sometimes we were teeing off of patchy sand. I really like the course but I hope they can get conditions back to the way they used to be by the new year
Nice for the price
Of course the greens could be better but they are pretty fair for the price and amount of rain we’ve had lately, there’s also been construction/maintenance the past few weeks so that should be taken into consideration. Overall good course for the price!
Worst conditions I’ve ever seen it
For this to be priced typically around the $40 range in offseason, it is just not worth trying to save $10. The foursome in front of me and my playing partner took nearly 30 minutes to get through the first hole. The fairways were muddy and left footprints wherever you walk, and ultimately made it difficult to hit out of. Greens were in fair condition. And then on top of this all, one of the holes was undergoing construction and we were told to skip it. I payed the normal rate at Coral Oaks to play awful conditions and skip a whole and yet there was no warning on GolfNow when I booked it. Next time I’m going to fork up another $10 and play elsewhere.
Coral Oaks golf course
Overall, the course is good. They are doing a lot of work so they are shut down one hole at a time to put new irrigation in.
But the tee boxes definitely needs some work
Also, it was only 3 PM and their snack bar and bar were closed. That was not a good thing especially there were still people out there playing
Decent course would play again. Under new management and undergoing improvements are obvious. Would play again !
How about some drinking water.
Course was in decent shape considering they are installing a new irrigation system.
Some of the greens had patchy areas and most of the tees lacked any significant grass.
That being said they appear to be putting money into the course with new irrigation and plans to redo the greens upon completion.
The biggest drawback was no drinking water anywhere on the course.
I mean really, you are spending a couple of million on watering the grass but can spring for a couple of water coolers at the rest area for the golfers that are paying for it.
105 heat index and had to wait until the turn for water at the clubhouse which was warm and since there was an outing ahead of us no ice in the ice machine due to the steady groups comming in all at once.
Course under renovation
Hopefully after completion of renovations this course will be worth the cost. Renovations must be thorough.
awful
terrible greens, grass overgrown and not kept neatly
Coral Oaks
We like Coral Oaks, it is close by and affordable. We did not get in our entire round due to lightening in the area and were disappointed as we were doing well and enjoying the hot day. We will go back and finish soon.
Love this coarse
This is a great coarse, weather you are a beginner or not, this coarse can challenge you. Bring out your driver for the long holes or as short as your pitching wedge. Eagles on hole #2 with their big best in the old pine tree.
