Should have known better
Let it be known I’ve played this course on and off for years now, and I’m going to confess having not played it in over a year (way pre corona virus), I was unaware that you could not walk in for a tee time.
That being said the pro did not have to be a total Jerk (I erased original word) as if this was some private country club that a blue collar guy such as myself should not be at.
I will give the town of Casselberry a lot of credit the course is in better shape than I have ever seen it, the greens are still the slowest I’ve ever played on and the course does not drain well at all especially the front 9. It is not worth $72 I paid for me and my young son, especially if some Pro wants to act like he did, the good news is my young son and I still had a good time in the swampy front nine and rain.
No Honor or Integrity!
I was shocked to hear that my Range Card wouldn't be honored after today, although there is NO expiration date on it. So asked him to cancel my Tee Time, and I would find another course to play at from now on. There were only 3 buckets left on it, so for the price of 2 small buckets the person running the Pro Shop thought it more profitable to LOSE A PATRON FOR LIFE than HONOR the remaining 2 buckets on my Range Card. I would rather travel an hour or more and play at a course with INTEGRITY, than drive around the corner and play at Casselberry Golf Club.
1st Round
Very nice course, well maintained, Greens a little long for in the morning
Course remains in good shape, especially for the price and the summer season. Course layout is unique and can be very challenging for a short course. Not many drivers hit here.
Great Golf day
The course is not as nice as the country club courses but I enjoyed it because of the shorter holes. I had a shot at par on half the holes. Overall, a good course and I would play it again.
Beat up greens
Staff is great, some cool good deals in the pro shop but the greens were shot. Course isnt the best but its a decent layout and still fun to play. Ill come back because of the staff.
Ok for
Decent course. Greens could be better. Nice scenery. Short. You have to hit fairways to score. Average value.
Great Day
The course is short but front 9 challenging with hazard placements. Back 9 was great.
I left my wallet in my cart and the staff searched found it and got it back to me before the end of the day. Great job.
Mixed Feelings
Fairways were in good shape although I rarely spent time on them. Roughs are just that. Greens were in horrible condition with no forewarning. Greens were aerated and sanded heavily to the point where putts were almost impossible. Course is short and narrow on most holes with little forgiveness. It weaves in and out of suburbia. Have to cross road MULTIPLE times to get to next hole. Not a “get away” golf course. However, if the greens were not under construction the course as it was today would have been in good shape. Honest opinions from a mediocre golfer.
Nice short course
They did a nice job with a few longer holes combined with mostly short holes. Greens were being aerated and sanded so i cannot pass judgement on them
Short
Super short. Greens weren’t bad but were slow. Fairways were spotty, lots of mud. The rough was just wild grass. Bunkers were unkept. Course should cost $20 or less
