About
Opened in 1947, the course at Casselberry Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida. Since opening, the course has garnered a favorable reputation among locals and visitors alike. Casselberry Golf Club's fairways are lined with trees and water comes into play on twelve holes. Awesome App
First time playing here. Very careful about cleanliness, organized, and courteous. Attendant met us right at our car with a cart when we pulled in. They have an amazing app with a virtual scorecard, gps, range finder, food & beverage service, and deal on play. Was very impressed.
Thumbs up
The course is in good condition, greens in good health, but slow. They always have been.
Fareways nice near the greens. Several of the tee boxes are in need of some attention.
Over all The course is the best it’s been in a couple of years
AT AH BOY CASSELBERRY GC
just wanted to say what a great job the staff and grounds keepers have done through the pandemic.
The course is the best I've seen it in, in three years.
Diamond in the Ruff
I"ve been playing this course for a few years now and every time I play, Its gets better and better. The condition of the course keeps improving and that's what keeps me coming back. Keep up the great work Casselberry GC.
Ok course, price is a bit much
The course has improved and with that comes higher prices but this is not a $35 course.
I like the course
Due to the virus hysteria there was hardly anybody playing and I went around in 2 1/2 hours ...the front nine has a lot of water and is way more difficult than the back nine ....I played terribly but still had a good time if you’re in the area check it out
Good day of golf
Going a bit stir crazy with covid19 keeping everyone at home. Great to get out on the course. Casselberry has gone to great lengths to sanitize the carts. They also placed plugs on the holes to allow you to "make" your shot without the ball dropping into it. Kudo's for that effort!
Keeping social distance is not a problem, just celebrate great shots verbally without touching.
Thanks again for a great day on the course.
Fun, tough course -- great greens!
Casselberry is a tough course because of how tight it is. It is not a long course so this is a great time to practice your irons, but miss left or right and you are out of bounds very easily. The greens are very good as to compared to years past. The course is in great shape with the tee boxes well groomed. The City put money into the course to improve the look a few years ago and it still shows. If you haven't played here in a while, come take a look.
The only negative are that there are 2 port-a-potties as their restroom on the course. It would be nice to have a regular bathroom like almost every other course in the area has, but that is the only complaint.
A vast improvement.
This course used to be in pretty bad shape, and I went a couple years without playing it. But I’ve played it twice in the past couple weeks, and each hole is in great shape. The greens are all lush with no dead spots. The fairways are soft, and you can leave a divot and not just bounce your iron off the rock hard ground.
Eh
Honesty this course is a bummer. It’s really not worth. I’m sitting in my cart right now stuck behind a single, who is stuck behind a twosome and another twosome. It’s taken an hour to play 4 holes, no Marshall. This course needs someone to be on it at all times otherwise it gets taken advantage of. I wouldn’t waste your money, a bucket of large balls is $14 which is the most I have ever paid. Go somewhere else, it’s $18 a Winter Park golf course for 9 holes and I would rather do that twice than sit here and watch a guy drive the ball 50 yards 3 times in a row.
CAME BACK AFTER A LONG ABSENCE
I only have one observation to make.
If a municipality decides to step in and own & operate a golf course, then you better be prepared to layout some serious funding.
You need maintenance staff...none visible.
You need starters and rangers...none visible.
You need construction upgrades...none visible.
Ocala Municipal is the model you sho up old follow.
