Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort

The course is beautiful and well maintained. Palm course has many water holes and challenging. Truly enjoyed the day.

Course in good shape - greens ran true. For the cost of a round; driving range should be included; it was not.

If you don't mind hitting the driving range before you get to the JW, you'll be right.

The course was in pretty good shape; however, the bunkers were very inconsistent. I assume that since the palms will be closing soon for fall maintenance, the bunker were not up to usual standards?

We have played here a couple of times as Marriott Property Owners. It's a great track with challenging tees for all. The ladies play from the white tees and it's a bit longer at 5400 yards but definitely still playable. Several signature picturesque holes and water comes into to play just the right amount. Highly recommend!

This is the second time in 2 weeks that I booked this course in the afternoon. On both dates, there was a tournament ahead of us, which we were not told about when we booked. The course seems to perpetually be overbooked in the afternoon and I have yet to finish a round.

The course itself is excellent but beware of time and day you book. I will not be booking this course again.

Course had a scramble. Decided to still let individuals book tee times. Poor starter was scrambling to try and make clubs mistake whole. Ended up started on 8th hole and getting 10 holes in over course of 3.5 hours.

Greens were furry and hole cuts were brown and worn. Bunkers were not in great condition. For some reason the pace of play was about the worst I’ve ever encountered there. Not sure what was going on but saw no Marshall’s whatsoever and cart lady saw us in fist hole and said she was done for the day. TeeOff was 3:26 or so but I was not advised of pace of play or lack of on course service. Was just expecting better. Still had an enjoyable time as people I played with were very friendly as we waited for groups in front.

The Palm course is a great layout that is forgiving off the tee and has visually appealing green complexes. Highly recommend if you can catch the right price. Pace of play was good. Course conditions were fair as they were prepping for the overseeding season.

I wish this course offered reduced rates more than they do.

Overall, overpriced compared to other courses in Palm Springs.

We had a tee time at 9:12 AM for a twosome . We showed up on time, paid our fees and went to the practice tee. The course had a scheduled shotgun tournament starting at 7:00 AM. Apparently more golfers showed up for their tournament than expected and were accepted. As a result all teetimes were delayed and the starter could not even tell us at what time we would tee off. We went back to the pro shop and were offered a refund. It would’ve been impossible for us to get another course on such short notice and that day was the day for golf during our visit to Palm Desert. Totally disappointing service from the pro shop staff. We ended up waiting and played at this course. We really enjoyed the course but the day was a bit of a disappointment.

It was over 100f yesterday but manageable. Course was in great condition and I was able to get out early.

Pace of play was decent. I was a solo tee time and finished in 2 hours. Played through a few groups and skipped 2 holes, would've been at around 2hr 30m for the full 18 if I wasn't in a rush. I had a mulligan group playing from the tips and forward tees that slowed the pace down a bit. Tough life..haha!

The photos make this course look a lot nicer than it is… the course is in great shape but doesn’t have a lot of character and you play by a busy road on two holes. If you can get a hot deal this is a good course, but probably not worth the prime time price they charge otherwise.

Enjoyed the round with a good pace of play. Lots of bunkers to avoid..

Great condition of the course and the back nine was excellent.

Course is fun and relatively forgiving just stay out of the water. Got a great heat of thee day rate and luckily it was overcast. Not many forks out there. Finished round in about 3 hours.
