Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort

Pace of play is always dictated by a slow group on the course. The weather was very nice, so we just enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery.

It was an extremely long course for the course rating & you couldn’t really tell where you were going & especially where the water came into play.

You need to have a Marshall out there. Waiting on shots is annoying and hurts scores and a good time.

Dont mean to sound negative, but slow play is the number one angst for a player as you certainly know.

They had a frost delay, instead of trying to reschedule some groups they tried to shove everyone in as fast as possible. The result was a backed up course and a lousy unfinished round on a fantastic golf course. Two foresomes quit? Very aggravating and unfair to people paying a big green fee. I will definitely ask a lot of questions before playing the next time. I really like the course, but hate incompetent management. Marriott should know better.

Booked a “hot deal” on golf now. Got there early and hit some balls at practice range. Range was in good shape, surprised they didn’t have yardage signs. Starter said I could get out early and was able to do so, about 20 minutes before my tee slot. Course is a resort course, so not very difficult. Lots of couples playing. Pace of play was a little slow. Tee boxes and fairways were is good condition. Greens were true and a little slow. Course is on property and for the right price it’s a no brainer to play.

We've played this course several times when we are in the area and always have had a great time. The course was in great shape as always. The pace of play was good with no waiting as start times were well managed.

Choose your clubs wisely, don’t use driver on every hole. And every green plays uphill. Watch out for goose poop
