About

Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

The fairways are wide and forgiving giving confidence throughout the round. I happened to avoid the sand except for 1 hole but my friend found many. Staff was extremely nice. I wish there was more options for food and beverages. I cannot wait to come back!

Overrated

Beautiful views but holes are not memorable, all the same. Greens rough and pocked with ball marks. Nothing special here especially for the money, not a good value

Desert springs

I thought replays via golf now are free. But not at the D S golf course. I thought sand traps should have sand and not bottom your club on clay, i think they should have a Marshall out, i thought fir the fee someone should have met us at the bag drop vs carrying club down. I thought there should be someone giving you and placing your bags on a cart, but i guess Not…

Pace was good 4 hours but no one was in front of us. Grass was cut and green.

I would not pay $120+ fore this course

Course conditions

Though fairways and tees are nice, the sand on this course might be the absolute worse on any course that I’ve ever had played..

Literally no sand. Ball sits on grey gravel looking sand, a 60 degree wedge bounces off the hard wet base and you have no prayer yo hit under your shot.

Sorry sand is part of the Game Marriott.

Overpriced

Green side bunkers have no sand whatsoever and become basically a one stroke penalty. Greens were inconsistent and bumpy. I imagine the course would be really hood if they invested some money into the conditioning of it, especially the bunkers. Not even close to worth the money to play here,

Loved it would like to come back again

Would like more information on which segment the flag was in. The starter did not tell us. Surprised by some of the water that you couldn’t see because if hillly the course is. Drop zones weren’t clearly marked
