Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

Disappointed in the Greens

Course was in good shape other than the greens. Very shaggy and slow. Not worth the value of what I paid. Let's trim up those greens and get the pace more in line with other golf courses.

Always enjoyable. Stay out of the green-side bunkers.

On the front nine, the pace of play was wonderful. On the back nine, the starter put two people in front of us who were just playing nine holes, and we had to wait a great deal because they were slow. However, the overall pace of play was under four hours.

The course took 5 1/2 hours to play. No Marshall to keep play moving. Starter was rude and not very helpful. On the positive side, the beverage cart came by several times. All this for $150. Not worth the frustration.

5:45 round

Teed off at 7:40 took over 2 hours to play the first 6 holes. Saw a marshall once. Insane how slow it was early in the day. People were quitting all around the course on the back 9. Love the course but that is ridiculous.

No one at the bag drip when I arrived.. No one at the pro shop until 15 minutes before tee time.

No sand on the cart.

No sand at the turn. Sorry. I could not fix any divots.

No water on the course except the 3 dollar bottles from the cart.

Nice Resort Course in the Desert

Played here for the first time today. Interesting layout. Very hilly with very few flat lies.

Tees, Fairways and Greens in excellent condition. Wide fairways will keep most balls in play. Greens were quite undulating. And the bunkering was a bit extreme. Bunkers well paced in the fairways and around greens but very severe, maybe to much.

Enjoyed the round and may return.
