Better than it used to be!
Pleasantly surprised by the conditions of the course. They have been working hard on the maintenance and it’s starting to show. Greens are near perfect and fairways are cut short. Still too much Bermuda grass on the edges that seem to swallow balls but otherwise it’s worth playing again.
A Fabulous Day of Golf
The course condition was much better than the recent reviews have indicated. Greens were in very good shape and the fairways were good.
Played 18 holes in a little over three hours for a very good green fee.
I recommend you give it a try, especially for the cost.

Played on a Sunday mid morning and was all could hope for! Pace was bit slow, but that was what I was looking for. Guys let me play through when I was ready. Course was in good shape. Great views. Staff was very friendly and easy to help me get going for my first time. I'll definitely be back there!
A decent little golf course….
Pelican Bay used to be a 36 hole course, but now is just 18 with the other course abandoned. Playing not long after hurricane Ian, the course was in decent shape. I thought the greens were very nice. Overall, it was a good inexpensive course to play, I’d recommend and would return for another round.
Struggling
The course itself was ok. Playable. 1/3 of the greens had dead spots and other problems. The common areas along fairway edge and cart path were in poor condition. Debris from storm (3 or 4 weeks) still not picked up. Maintenance crew only doing bare minimum. With so many other places to play, I would not recommend.
Good for practice round
THe course isn't what it once was. But, that said, I found it to be in better shape than I expected. Not great, or even good, as some greens need real attention. But overall, not having played this course in a few years, it was better than expected. The rates are reasonable, especially if you get a GolfNow HotDeal. And, the course was not crowded, so it is possible to hit some corrective shots (good for "practice round").
There was hope that the course would be improved, or purchased and improved, but that is still in limbo. It's a shame, as both courses in Pelican Bay were a pleasure to play (the South course, which I preferred, being closed for about 5-6 years).
However, as I said, I found the course to be in better shape than I expected. A little attention to some of the greens would put this course on the list of courses to be played and enjoyed in the Daytona Beach area..
Always Pleasant
Great staff! Mike @ check in is always pleasant and goes above and beyond in welcoming you to the course.
As expected since the recent hurricane Ian, there were trees down and wetness on the course however they’re cleaning things up. Good experience overall.
Lacks Maintenance
Course isn’t maintained. Grass clippings in fairways and on greens. Greens have disease, bad spots on a third of greens. Outside of clubhouse looks abandoned.
Rough shape
When I pulled up and it looked like the clubhouse was not maintained out front, I knew I was in trouble. Very wet conditions and the fairways had been chewed up by whoever mowed them, lots of dead grass patches and shaved down spots. Plenty of dead spots on the greens.
Decent course for the money.
Although this course doesn't fall in my top 10, I must say it is definitely worth playing this course. It seems like they had a couple of dumb sore losers who rode their carts on the greens on a couple of holes. The bunkers are ALL in great shape, and I tried to keep them pristine by not going in them...lol.
And you gave the north course 3 stars? Makes people wonder how little is needed for a golf course to get 5 stars...
