A little rough around the edges, but to go hit balls and make shots its as good as any around, Don't expect pristine, but for the money a great place to practice.
Still good but
Played here many times in the past. Overall is still good but has signs that it will soon close like the south course did a couple of years ago. Saw only 3 people the whole round. It starts in the parking lot, needs to be at a minimum sealed. No more water at any of the holes even with it being in the 90's. Water was available for purchase before the round. Traps were mostly good but no rakes so many footprints. Greens were mostly good but slow, some dead areas. Many of the fairways had excessive weeds overtaking the grass. Still has fun holes like my favs15, 16, and 18.
Priced right
Interesting layout with water throughout. Plenty of room but sprayed shots may find water. It’s a fair test though. The greens are rough but the main part of the greens are nice….the edges are bad. Overall it’s priced correctly and a bargain on GolfNow for the conditions. I’ll play again.
Over Priced
This is an old course in an established community. The course is tree-lined with water on every hole; multiple tee boxes and greens were in poor condition. Surface roots from the trees on the course had significantly damaged the cart path.
I knew there was going to be a problem when I arrived at the clubhouse an hour before my tee time and there were only 10 vehicles in the parking lot at 10:00 on a Saturday.
Two time event for me at this course - the first and the last. Terrible experience.
A real hidden gem in south Daytona, greens have a few bad spots near fringe otherwise great shape and great course
Great Fun
I live in PB and a Buddy of mine came for a visit. We are both very average golfers. We had a blast. Staff was great. Course could use a little TLC. But great pace.
Needs work
This course was probably exquisite twenty years ago but need some work the layout is great can be tough with all the water the clubhouse on the outside is rough but the inside very classic. I would play this course again I think for the money it was not that bad if you are looking for a pristine course this is not it currently but I think it was well worth a visit
We will pass to play this again
The fairways were not level, Full of weeds and lots of bare spots. The greens had many bare places also
Course fails in comparison to even driving ranges
The tee boxes were mostly just sand, no difference between the fairway and so called “rough”, it was all the rough. The greens were more weeds than grass and poorly maintained throughout the course. The man behind the counter was very nice but the course was in very poor shape
Eight over par
I'm sure tiger woods wouldn't enjoy playing here but if you're new like myself or just want to practice this course is perfect. Friendly staff and the beer taste just as good anywhere else. I've definitely played at better conditioned golf courses but don't pay attention to the bad reviews and go smack some balls around, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Pelican Bay
Absolutely terrible condition. I've played golf all over the world and this was by far the worst conditioned course I've ever played! We only paid $30 but i wouldn't have played the course even if it was free. The only part of the course that was maintained was the bunkers. Other than that, it was an embarrassment! I would not recommend this course to anyone! it looks like there going out of business!
Poor playing conditions, as usual.
I have played this course more than a dozen times over the past few years and I have never seen the greens in "good" condition. This time around they were playable but in no way good condition. Fairways are pretty rough and the roughs are uncut. Really nice bunkers though. The parking lot was virtually empty and I saw only one other group on the course all day; this course still gets very little play but considering how difficult it has been over the past few months to get a t-time anywhere in the area for a reasonable price, it was worth playing.
Cow pasture!
Shameful condition. Every green with large patches needing repair. Fairways sparse and sandy; not sure when last mowed.
Bunkers excelent. Too bad they don't have rakes to keep them that way.
I won't be back
