Terrible Condition
This course is in terrible shape. The tee boxes are a mix of sand and dead grass. The rough is just dead weeds and dirt. The fairways are like used astroturf. The greens are just as bad as the rest of the course. They should be embarrassed for charging people to play here.
Price is right and not crowded.
The better southern courses are more expensive and in better condition.
Pelican bay
The course has been around a long time. It was difficult to play because the fairways and greens are not in good shape. Great layout though. Nice new carts, but maintenance and upkeep lacking for a course that had a Ryder cup many years ago.
Pelican Bay North
Used to be one of the best courses in the area many years ago. It should now be blown up like Bushwood in Caddyshack, as it is in horrible condition and should be closed for good due to complete neglect. The bunkers were in better shape than the tees, fairways and greens which weren’t green at all. Greens were moldy and beyond terrible. Sad state of affairs. Do not waste your hard earned cash on this track. There are others that are very nice for the same $. Staff was nice but hope they find a better job at another course, as this one is imploding quickly…
Needs water
Like many local courses, this place has suffered from dry weather in recent years. At least the othwerise burned up “greens” weren’t too slow and bumpy as I was able to make some putts without needing a hammer and roller. I hope others will play it to keep it viable. I enjoyed the lack of crowding.
Course on Life Support
Some greens barely had grass.
Ditto for the tee boxes.
No rakes for the sand traps.
Hard to see the course making it much longer.
Overall poor
Greens were atrocious, no water full up stations or rest rooms on course. No Marshalls controlling pace of play.
Help
This course needs help they used to have two courses north and south both good layouts. Now the south is closed and the north must be going the same way everything on the course needs help greens, fairways and tee box. Not worth the price to many other good courses around. Play some where else. Club house closes at 4PM can’t use restroom. Stay away
this is possibly the worst course in florida no grass on tees or fairways the greens looked like it was dug up and rolled then they painted the dirt green . it was a 33.00 hot deal ,they should pay people to play there I will not go back even if its free
Surprised the course is open!
No grass in the tee boxes.
Very poor grass/weed mixture on the fairways.
No rakes in the traps.
No ball washers.
The grass on the greens is diseased, and the dead grass has been dyed green and is like a door mat. Not worth trying to putt - worst greens I've ever seen.
Only two 20-year old boys working, one at the pro shop, the other at the cart barn. No ranger and the pace of play was awful.
Only the pro shop was open, the rest of the club house (a nice fancy place) was empty - nobody there!
Poor Conditions
Never played on a course in this poor condition. No grass, no amenities, no staff to help with cart or bag, no water to drink, no rakes, greens terrible. Told the staff and they totally disagreed. Never again.
