About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Saturday golf
Course in fair condition had a threesome slow as heck in front of me that turned into a foursome on the sixth hole? Then in front of them was a five some in which I'm on the green and their tee off lands on the green besides me. Still as always a good day golfing. Won't be back there for a while.
Glen Shabby
Shabby shape to say the least, huge bare spots on several greens, crab grass in abundance on most as well. Definitely not worth the 40 dollar fee. Appears there isn’t any greens staff to improve the conditions in any way possible….
Good Value
Very friendly staff. Course was in fair condition. Great layout, priced accordingly. My only gripe is that they don’t have golf club covers on their carts as it rained a little. I will definitely return to play here again.
Tough review for some wonderful employees
Decided to try GA after a 2 year absence and found it in rougher shape than I noted years ago. My lady at the check-in desk couldn't be any more friendly. Her smile lit up the room. Only wish her attitude could have been carried out to the D course. Even after some rain the course was fairly dry but extremely uneven. Way too many bouncing areas which shook up your cart and a lot of areas just pure dirt where you had to move your ball from the hardpan. Greens weren't bad but also ran into a group of 6 with 5 carts on # 11 who never acknowledged me as a single so had to finally just go past them on 13. I recognized one of the ladies on the turn in the pro shop so figured this group was probably regulars who were used to getting their way. One of my favorite courses is close by, Debary CC, so I'll stick to going there if I'm going to travel 1 1/2 hrs.
Improving Conditions
Course is in better & better shape each week. You could tell the grounds crew have been working on the course.
