The course was in better shape than most in the Sacramento area. Tee boxes far exceeded the condition of any course I've played this year. There are alot of bunkers that are in need of maintenance though. Had a great time and will be back for sure!!

I've played here dozens of times, and course conditions are rarely consistent. Lately, however, they've been very good. Fairways are mostly good, with just a few bare spots, but not muddy or unplayable. The greens also are very good. Not perfect, but healed nicely from aeration a few weeks ago. Rolled mostly true, but with the annoying tendency for the ball to veer away from the hole at the last second if you hit it softly. The bunkers are a weak spot, very little sand in them. Will definitely play again.

Interesting day! The starter and I watched a threesome tee off before me. Guy one swung and missed a couple times. Guy 2 hit it 5 feet directly left twice. Guy 3 needed three balls to hard slice it. We spent the next 9 holes watch these guys do this on every hole. They were at least 1-1.5 holes behind. The starter told me they aren’t allowed to suggest which tee box to play. He also said there’s no marshall. It was bad. The hey finally let us play though at the turn.

Tee boxes are horrendous. Nothing has been mowed. The rough is not rough. It’s a forest. Balls hit 3 feet off the fairway consider lost. It’s so overgrown.

MC is one of my favorites. I’m hopeful it’ll improve.

Played 1st time last year & thought I'd never return due to horrible maintenance conditions. Seeing good reviews lately, and learning about new management and course maintenance improvements, I decided to give it a shot to see what's going on. Very happy I did. Pro shop was very professional & informative & the snack bar was very hospitable. On course, fairways & greens were well maintained. Very nice. They're working on the bunkers now, slowly. The rough is difficult & can be in play more than can be distinguished from the tee on some holes. This was the challenging part not remembering from last yeart. But extremely slow play. No marshals. The 2 guys I was paired with had to leave so I was stuck between 2 groups of 4 on the back nine. The slow play had us messed up taking a lot of enjoyment out of our round. Off tempo & frustrated. Horrible. Others around us too. Swing excuse, yes, but it happens to us all. Difficult playing while waiting with 1 or 2 groups on each tee w/ 1 or 2 waiting on you. Then waiting for the green just as long. Makes you think if they squeeze too many tee times too close together w/out enough spacing in-between (serious question here). But I do look forward to my return to see more improvements. Very much so.

I was a little shocked that Morgan Creek had so many available tee times. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape and had a beautiful green color. The tee boxes were a little rough which was a little strange because the rest of the course was so nice. We had a threesome and played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Golf is definitely better when the pace of play is quick. The layout has many fun and challenging holes but they are fair.

The clubhouse was cozy and they have a good selection of beverages and our food was delivered quickly and quite flavorful.

Played Saturday April 6th, teed off at 11:30.

Pace of play was 4 hours 45 minutes.

The course was in pristine shape, best condition I've ever played there.

Will go back before the weather gets hot.

Currently course is going through its spring uptake. The rough is long and you can loose a ball pretty easily in 2nd cut.

Sand traps are hard and need some conditioning.

Greens are in pretty good shape. If you hit the ball straight and don’t miss the greens then it’s a good course if you don’t then you will be spending some money on balls!!!

Very nice layout and routing. The greens were in great condition, medium fast and firm. The bunkers were in need of some fresh sand and overall grooming was lacking. Most of the bunkers were hard as packed dirt. Rough was thick and lush. Fairways okay need a little trim. POP was in just under 5 hours... Lots of pre-Masters golfers out!

Use to be an awesome course but I now it’s trash. Unless of course you like the following, hard pan bunkers or muddy bunkers, 3” tall fairways rough that’s is overgrown. The course layout itself is bad also. Want to know what hole you are on? Good luck, there is no markers anywhere to let you know. The course use to be immaculate but I guess the new owner is really just trying sell half of it off for you guessed it MORE TRACK HOME! So there is no care given to it at all anymore. The cost to play is outrageous for the course conditions. Don’t waste your money.
