Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club

Okay, I played in the afternoon with two other people and was asked to give up my cart because they were low on carts. The person asked me if I would give up my card. If I didn't mind. I said "I do " Left. I was just being truthful because I think everybody would prefer to plan their own cart if they don't know the person they will be running with. Anyway, she kind of huffed and and turned around. I rode with someone else and that and that being really good. .Anyway, course was in really good shape. We did not wait for any groups in front of us the entire time. We never had to wait for a t-shot or an approach shot. We finished in 3 hours and 29 minutes. Absolutely fantastic. The only complaint I would have is that some of the bunkers are atrocious. There is pretty much no sand in some of them. It's like hitting off hard pan. I'm not quite sure how to play out of those. I would say that cost me a couple shots just from the bunkers so that's the main thing that they need to work on.

Even the Front Desk admits they don’t put much money into maintaining the course, but spring has been good to Morgan Creek. It’s in the best shape it’s been in a couple years. It’s always been a good track that is fair. It will punish you, especially on the back 9, for a bad shot, but you can score if you’re playing well. Good time to play.

Course was in great shape. The pin placements were a little unreal. Seems like the grounds keeper woke up in a bad mood.

This place is just sad. It's a world class layout, being sucked dry by whomever owns it. I would not pay over $25 to golf here... it's really that bad. Whether it's drainage issues, clay bunkers, sparce fairways or overgrown wetlands... this course is lost, and should be shut down, or sold. If you're the owner reading this... go take a long look in the mirror, cause this course is a failure, it's an eyesore to an upscale community, and you have no business owning it.

Way too many people trespassing onto the course. We have family’s, we have kids with no parents, we have people walking dogs, I’ve seen people have picnics on fairways by greens. Yesterday there was half a dozen kids on dirt bikes (some electric and some gas) literally using hole ten as their private track using the fairway ridges as jumps. Called the shop and the guy hung up on me.

The people trespassing have absolutely no respect for the course or the people who paid to play there. They are extremely rude about forcing you to wait 10 minutes while they continue walking their dog only for a traffic jam of players to happen.

This course needs to pull it together and stop catering to the people who are ruining the course.

The staff was excellent all day long. Snack bar is easy to hit at the turn and keep it moving. I’m not sure what happened to the greenskeeper, but almost every hole was on an extreme slope or at the top of a hill that falls off in both directions. It was almost impossible to hit a lag outside of 1-2 feet and have it stay. I’d play again and just hope they were in better locations, but all in all it was a cool course to play.

5 hour round! Staff allowed the two foursome‘s in front of us who were friends to join up and play as eight players after the seventh hole. Not the first time I’ve been at Morgan Creek when they over schedule tee times, and then pace of play grinds to a halt. Course condition for this time of year was only fair.

Tight, hilly course.
