Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club

I was told that, back in the Morgan Creek was an amazing golf course. Given the current conditions, I find that very difficult to believe. The tee boxes are uneven and riddled with weeds. The greens are patchy, sections covered in dead grass, and the fairways are, well, not good. The only thing this course has going for it is the golf carts come with club and ball washers. While this is a nice touch, it's not worth returning.

course looks horrible. I have played there many times and it has never looked worse. it seems like they have given up and hoping to develop it for homes. greens have a fungus or something on them...there are bald spots on many of the greens.

Best golf experience in town. Fast pace golf. Played under 4 hours. Staff were very accommodating.

Long, fun course. Plenty of holes to free swing that driver. A couple 290 yd bombs that were quite picturesque with the landscape background. Challenging greens kept me from a really good round. Great helpful attitude in the pro shop. We'll be back soon.

I usually really enjoy Morgan Creek I actually played the course maybe 6-8 weeks ago and the conditions were much better but when I played the other day the course was in rough shape. Tee boxes needed repair and/or grooming, some of the greens were not well maintained, bunkers were like hitting out of hard dirt, and then some areas were heavily over watered. I had a near perfect show on 17 to the green that I thought would roll out to the hole but when I got up to the green it was nowhere to be found. After a while of searching we finally found my that my entire ball had plugged right on the line of the green and fringe.

I know it’s been really hot out the past few weeks but I’m hoping the grounds crew can get it back in shape soon.

My second time playing here, both early rounds. The price was very fair, the pace and spacing of tee times was great, and the course layout is fun. The fairways were in decent condition, and the greens rolled nice where they were healthy, but they seemed to have some patches of infection on half of the greens. Overall pretty good for the price.

Good layout and staff. In need of some good watering. I can see it being really nice if kept up.

I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the course. Fairways and greens were in bad shape. I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

Golf course is drying out, with brownness on many greens and side of fairways. Otherwise, enjoyed the course layout and the greens do roll true. Price is right and staff are very friendly. I will come back to play again, but it's only late June. Not sure what the condition will look like in three months--late September if there isn't enough water to keep the grass from burning.

There was a time, before Covid, where this course was one of the gems in the greater Sacramento area. Challenging but fun layout, and course was cared for.

The current state of this course is a sad fall from grace. Fairways are dead or dying. Greens are diseased. Several tee boxes aren’t even mowed or have big patches of crab grass. Water features have almost all dried up or the water is more like a swamp. Not worth $75 on a Saturday morning.
