Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Comming around.
Over, enjoyed the course. It has a challenging setup. Greens were slow but putted very true. Sand traps are a disaster. Fix those up and the course would be great.
It's about ready
The course was punched a few weeks ago and is healing nicely. The greens are a little slow but that's to be expected. I recommend giving it week and you will be happy with the course.
Best draining course in Central Florida!
Played one day after Hurricane Helene. Couldn't even tell that a Hurricane had just past this close to Central Florida. Downed branches here and there. Otherwise, a perfectly drained course. Course is in amazing shape from tees to greens!
A northern type course in Florida.
The course was in fair shape with decent greens some rough sand traps and ok fairways. The course has some rather hilly areas not normally found in Florida. Due to a friendly staff, reasonable rates and great icy cold beer it was a great day.
Very nice layout
Second time playing Deltona Golf Club. Found the course to be in good condition, with a few bare spots around. Greens were aerated about a month ago, and are 95% recovered - one or two still show aeration marks. This is great value for the money.Highly recommend.
The comeback is real!
Deltona golf course has had its ups and downs. I played yesterday for the first time in some months. It can see that the staff is really trying to groom it back to the status it should be. The greens have been punched and you can Tell they’re gonna be great for the fall. The course layout is solid and the rough and brush has been cut back for better of finding your ball and hitting your shots. Some play was excellent. Yesterday is always great. I highly recommended.
Ok course
This course has improved some due to the recent rains. There are still many areas of turf that need improvement and the greens are exceptionally slow. It did appear that the greens may have recently been sanded but there are areas on the greens which are in very poor shape.
Coming back beautifully
The course is finally catching up to the staff. The staff is always been fantastic at Deltona now the course is coming back beautifully even during the worst rains. This is a course drains and is never mushy.
A hidden gem
First, the course drains remarkably well. Previous rounds nearby were generally cart path only and very very wet. Deltona Golf Club drains well and you would not know that we had just had a very rainy week. Range is okay, price is very good. Layout is quite enjoyable though there are a couple of blind shots. Note that I played about 7:15, and holes 3 and 4 (I think) play directly into the rising sun - so be sure to take your shades. Greens in good condition and not too fast. Looking forward to my next round. here.
The course is in very good condition. I knew going there the greens had been punched but are coming back nicely. I suspect this course to be in excellent condition in a couple if weeks.
Great course for price
Great course for the price. Tee boxes and fairways were nice! Greens were just aerated but still playable. Give it a week or two and this course will be in great condition. Would play again especially for the price!
This course has great features
impressive work bringing the best layout in the area back in condition.
Well Maintained
While the courses south of Lake Monroe seemed to be soaking wet, this course was well drained. The layout is good to excellent, I rated it good because there are several blind shots. I will certainly be back to play again, and probably play more wisely :). I did not spend much time in the clubhouse, but the interactions with the staff showed them to be friendly and helpful. I did not use the snack bar. Weather was very warm. Note - if you play in the early morning you will need good sunglasses, as several of the early holes play to the east and the sun was dazzling.
