Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Deltona Club
The course has a great layout with lots of Peaks and valleys
Improved
Overall the course is in much better shape than the last time I played there. The greens have seen the biggest improvements. The bunkers still need work, a few had weeds, most had small rocks in them and seemed to be packed sand. Staff was friendly but I can't say much thats positive about the clubhouse.
I'll definitely look to return and play the course again.
Deltona Club - 7.26.24
I am not a great golfer by any means, but this course is pretty fun in my opinion. Not super crowded, relaxed atmosphere, everyone was respectful and allowed me to play through if I caught up to them.
I even forgot my 56° on the 7th green and the single behind me drove all the way to the next hole to give it to me.
Tee box’s were in great shape, greens were recently aerated but not bad enough to truly effect my putting game (I’ll 3 putt regardless)
Some sand traps were a little over grown and none of them had rakes so I felt bad leaving them.
Overall a great time and will definitely be playing there again.
Much Improved
I have not been playing this course because conditions went downhill. Someone told me that the course was now much better, and they were right. I hope they can keep it up.
Paid cash- told after only 9 holes
I paid cash. To be told one minute pater ," oh by the way only 9 holes". I asked for a refund as we would plsy elsewhere. They said nope.
I left . Let my buddies play on my dime.
Horrible management. My family member is a director at the golf channel
Golfnow. Take notice of this. This will destroy your brand
Disappointed
Staff was friendly enough. Greens are recovering from aeration, rough was too high, no sand in bunkers, only yardage marker aside from tee boxes were 150 yards (that I saw). Played there once many years ago so had no memory of the course. Would have been nice to know of the aeration when I was booking the round.
Much improved
The layout has never been an issue, it’s always the condition of the course. The course looks totally different than 3 months ago. There is grass from tee to green. The greens no longer are painted green sand. They are a bit slow but roll true. Most of the bunkers play as waste areas and providing rakes would provide a more consistent lie as footprints are a problem. The rough is thrice and a wayward shot can be difficult to find. I have no issue with the rough, but you really need to focus on where your ball entered or it can make for a frustrating and long search. If you have not played here in a while I would give it another shot. It is priced right, the condition is improving and the staff is friendly.
Great play with rolling hills
Great course, tight lies, rolling hills. Course does need some love, some of the sand traps had a good amount of weeds in them. The rough is rough, she was high and swallows the ball. There ain’t a water hazard to be found but plenty of beach. Pack a rake. Bring your cooler and a party of 4 and play at your speed.
A True Technical Golf Experience
Any “non”rough areas of the course is fantastic. Majority of rough areas are uncut however you’re not supposed to be in the rough anyway. Fairways and greens are in great shape!
Excellent course
From tee box to green is excellent condition, greens do roll somewhat slow. Layout is excellent, but course could use some lawn maintenance through golf course
Much imporved
Nice tees, fairways and greens (although not as fast as they've been in the past). Bunkers and rough need some work. Love the layout and added back into my groups rotation of courses to play.
