About
Desert Springs Resort boasts two championship courses designed by Ted Robinson, the Palms and the Valley. The golf courses are known for their beautiful setting, offering unrivaled views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the Coachella Valley. The Valley Course is considered the less challenging of the two, but both offer a stunning landscape covered with swaying palms and blue lagoons. The course features player-friendly fairways that beginners will enjoy, but there are also a fair amount of challenges. Like on the Palms Course, there is plenty of water. Between the two golf courses, more than 35 acres of water features come into play in the form of man-made lakes and streams. In addition to the two courses, Desert Springs also offers an 18-hole putting course, which offers all the same challenges as the other courses including bunkers, water hazards, and undulating fairways.

P.S.
Very disappointed with the condition of the fairways and bunkers. I have played this course numerous times over the years although it had been a few years. The fairways were all clumpy grass and there wasn't a good bunker on the course. All were wet and hardpacked with little to no sand in them. It is summer and hot but I played two other courses this week with great fairway grass.
Hills and water are a pleasant surprise
This course has its fair share of hills and water hazards throughout your 18 holes also number 9 and number 10 are back to back par fives which is a cool combo. I’ll play here again.
Good Experience
Played the Desert Springs Valley Course for the first time. Course was in good shape, considering the latest heat wave we had. Fairways were good, rough was decent, greens were better than I expected, a couple errant bounces but overall good, sand traps were firm. My only real grip is that they could give you a couple of bottles of water in the cooler, Over all golf experience give it a 7

The course was in fantastic condition. We played it twice during our stay.
Fantastic
Played La Quinta Mountain course on Monday, very hot with heat reflecting off the Santa Rosas.
Looked for something more open where heat couldn't get trapped and booked the Marriott Valley course on a recommendation of a friend. GREAT referral! Wasn't crowded, POP 3 hours. High reached 103 with a slight breeze, which helped immensely. First time on course Some challenging holes, especially over the water, but thoroughly enjoyed the round.

Beautiful coarse in great condition. TeeOff price was half of posted rate - excellent deal!
Valley course
Found this course a little bit less than good. Pace of play behind the group in front of us was very bad. They definitely need a ranger to keep the pace going better. We waited on practically every shot and tee box for them. Two groups behind us also caught up on our group.
Stay out of the bunkers
It's a fair course using bunkers to defend itself. The greens were in good shape and rolled true
