Valley at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort

Course is well designed, with ample room for your tee shots. Fairways are undulating, but very fair. Greens are also designed well, with bunkers coming into to play throughout the course. Course is well worth playing, and we had a great time. Very limited amenities with the recently mandated shut down in effect.

We had to wait for powercarts to come in from players finishing.

Scheduled tee time was delayed 20 minutes

Only got to finish 16 holes

Way to crowded due only one course being open, so it was worn out with wear and tear. Waited 5 - 7 minutes on every hole

My wife and I and another couple had a great time playing the Valley course. Sadly our cart did run out of power and we were stranded on 9th fairway backing people up but we managed. Staff were all very nice. The track was beautiful and we would return.

Of the two, I like the Palm course better but the Valley is still nice. We played the front nine in 1.5 hrs. But they sent some twosomes and singles off the back that clogged it up some. Still finished in 3.5 hrs

First of all, the course is overbooked--every 7 minutes?

Second, because of covid, no water on the course, but none was provided. For a course of this quality, one would have expected at least a bottle of water.

Third, the greens had been punched and top dressed, but we hadn't been forewarned.

Fourth, upon completion of the round, there was no help available to clean the clubs or help us to transport our clubs to our car--2 flights of stairs to carry clubs (woman).

We played Shadow Ridge in Palm Springs on Monday and it was so beautiful, in great shape, and pace of play was perfect. So we go to another Marriot course, Desert Springs. Desert Springs simply did not compare. Greens were a little on the sandy/brownish green side. The course was just "less green" in general. There seemed to be a lot of disorganization when we arrived about where and when to start. One of the two courses was closed. Driving range closed. Tiny putting green at the 1st tee was the only practice area. There were groups sort of "waiting in line" to start, so of course, we started late. We waiting on every single hole, and the group behind us waited, and so on, which is a drag.

Staff was indifferent to the point of rudeness. Advertised radio e included practice balls. Driving range Clare no explanation. No one at starter tee. No directions to first tee. Total lack of service. Course condition was fair but greens were rough
