Bryn Meadows Golf Club

i have played this course several times and there are some difficult holes for a high handicapper such as myself.

the fairways were good and greens quite fast as the weather has been ok for a few weeks.

there are several sloping fairways so aim for the topside and hope the ball rolls on for extra distance.

the course is quite hilly so if you have arthritis like me you will know you have walked the approx 4 miles.

initially there were no queues but it started stacking up after the 4th hole so myself and another single player teed off together on a few holes.

The green were lovely the course was clean and tidy the lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful the course was 1 of the best iv played in a long time the only thing that let the course down was the pace of play there were points we waited 10mins on the tee because the pepole in front of us were shocking marking cards on the green hitting 3 balls off the tee and they were a 4ball we had a member behind us and he even said its never like this we caught up wiv him on 17th and him and is partner had missed 3 holes to get in front off the slow pace

Played a round on my own as my two friends dropped out. Met two members on the way round and had a knock with them. Very friendly people and staff. Play was a bit slow but you expect that on a sunny Bank Holiday weekend. Will definitely be playing there again very soon!!!

Course was in good condition although very tight with a couple of blind holes.

Lovely food and drink afterwards. Would play here again :)

We had a really great game of golf, the course was well kept and greens were in in good condition due to all the rain we have had . Golfers playing the course were really helpful and friendly. We had a well deserved beer after the game in the winners bar and all staff made us feel really welcome. Thank you Bryn Meadows for a lovely game of golf hope to see you soon

Poor customer service, not available for 9 holes which I find old fashioned and annoying for busy working people.

Course was ok.

Booked a tee time through golf now, drove all the way down there and the course was closed. No communication to say the course was closed from either golf now or the course. Pro shop was closed so couldn’t even speak to anyone. Was lucky we were able to go to our usual club in the end but we won’t be coming back in a hurry.

180 miles to play this resort and when we arrive the course is closed, your communication is crap nothing whatsoever to say to us this was the case the pro when we arrived could not have been more apologetic but it’s your responsibility to inform us we booked through you,

And when the pro put the cancellation to you to our utter disgrace you then put the 11am tee time back on offer for sale THE COURSE WAS CLOSED for god sake absolutely shambolic

Managed to get a tee time on a Saturday at short notice. The course was in nice condition with slow but consistent greens. Interesting course with each hole proving a different challenge. Some good risk reward holes giving you a chance to drive some par 4s. Good value for money.

Enjoyed our day and couldn't have asked for more from the course or facilities. The only negative would be a lack of distance markers, we did look but no obvious signs of any markers, something i would definately encourage for the average golfer and future bookings.
