Oversold

Decent track but over five hours to get around. Back to back bookings following a ladies competition and two large society groups. Waited on every shot. Thankfully the weather was good.

Facilities are good. Nice warm up area (though no range or nets), staff are friendly and the views are great.

Plenty of seating in and outside the bar and a small club shop.

Ultimately though I'm not going to book anywhere where it's going to take five hours to get around. Either space out your tee times appropriately or get some course marshalls, because there aren't that many hours in the day...

Worth a visit

A very enjoyable round of golf in a lovely setting with great scenery. Disappointed not to find any yardage markers and that many of the greens were being treated, but still worth a visit and will certainly return.

Wet but very good

Heavy rain first 3 holes but we braved it. Stopped raining on 4th hole and was clear all day. Greens were in superb condition despite the weather. Course held up extremely well to rain. Nice lunch in the bar after.

Thanks all

Good local course

I really enjoyed playing here today.the course offers a good challenge with numerous dog legs and water hazards. Some of the greens were a bit poor due to drainage holes being added, but the course as a whole was great for the money!

Good but not fantastic

Let’s start it off with the simple point, it’s a good course, not the worst but not the best I’ve played on.

The price matches up to others in the area at around £20-£25 a round which seems a decent price for what you get.

My friends and I decided that we wanted buggies for the course to which the price was £25 which we all found rather expensive but were sure were were not walking this round as we were all carrying small injuries.

The course is kept in a good condition and the weather was on our side with it being overcast but not raining. That was until the final hole, by which point none of us really cared as we were heading home.

The other groups behind us were speeding up the more we seemed to fasten our pace the more they seemed to catch up on us, it was as if they hadn’t actually followed the tee time they had booked. Eventually we allowed 2 groups to play through to give ourselves more time to play our shots.

The layout of the course was fine, some holes crossing others but overall a good layout.

Overall the round was good but not fantastic, simply made better by the people I was playing with rather than the actual course.

Recent visit

Nice looking course, lovely views and scenery. Decent layout and some difficult holes. Greens were rock hard, bobbly, and quite worn in places. Tee boxes not much better, uneven, poor, rock hard.

Need a starter to keep players to times or hold back when necessary. Nice bar area and staff really nice. I would be disappointed if I was a member paying over 700£ a year for that course.

Terrible course

This is an awful course which should only be considered as a last resort desperate for a tee time. Awful condition and the standard of the fairways and greens was far less than is acceptable. Yes it only costs £15 a round but it’s basically a long pitch and put. The layout is cramped with players on different holes are all on top of you. Hard to distinguish the fairway from the rough. Greens are unplayable

Great course, worth going back

Great experience at Bryan Meadows, staff were very friendly and helpful. Course was great but very boggy due to very heavy rain but it didn’t affect the day. Will definitely be going back.

Early doors

Course was in OK condition for the time of year. Greens have been hollow tined and very patchy at the moment. I’ve played this course throughout the year and by summer the greens will be perfect...

I have played this course a few times in the past, It's a nice course but very disappointed with the state of greens sandy and very bobbley on some, one hole was created on the end of the fairway making it un putterble! Also Signs for next hole very poor!

Greens in poor condition, very hard and rutted. No rakes at any of the bunkers some of which had no sand in them. One even had large stones and quantity of turf inside bunker.
