Impressed once again

Often a review will depend on the success of the golfer on that day. Play well, good review etc. The lakes is a course that never disappoints. Yes it was wet and heavy under foot but this can never detract from the quality layout of this course. Its a course where strategy outways power. Think your way around and your sure to do well. Starting with a par 3 is a refreshing change and the mix of 4's and 5's are full of character. Playing 8 to 12 is a treat with some great golf holes. Its not demanding on the legs and for me gives a better experiance than the length dominated national course for the avaerage golfer.

Lovely course

Lovely course, great facilities, only let down by amount of plastic tees losing twenty ish yards a hole, it is nearly December though so a little expected

The corse was in very good condition and had fantastic views.

I found some of the front nine holes a challenge with there tight fairways and numerous water hazards, especially the back to back par 5's. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely play the course again.

Great day out.

Great course. Lovely conditions. Well presented layout. Buggie hire a tad expensive at £30. But overall a great day out.

We had a two ball booking and everything about the course and amenities were excellent.A well layed out course and well maintained.

Major disappointment was the pace of play as we were stacking up to play most holes on the back 9.It took us 5 hours for a 2 ball which ruined the overall day.

Good day had by all

After playing the national course on a few occasions I had high hopes for the lakes course and I must say it didn't disappoint. The greens where in immaculate condition as where all other aspects of the course. My only gripe would be the amount of people on the course some walking some using buggys which affected the time of play on each hole.

Too good Too Bad

This is a great course that requires strategy over power. Having played the Lakes before I was really looking forward to the challenge and would even consider membership until! The pace was ridiculously slow with two to three groups waiting on any given tee. No course marshals were on duty to alleviate this or quicken up the pace. Later found out that members are restricted to Saturday tee times depending on which in-house society you are invited to become a part of. Real shame !
