This course has amazing views of the welsh valley and all the staff are friendly and even the fellow golfers.
The course condition is really good and the greens and fairways are well looked after.
Fantastic course for the money!
Tough few holes to start where a straight drive is key. Then opened up with some superb views of the surroundings. Fairways were nice and sponges allowing you to take a divot. Members, pro shop staff and bar staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Stopped for a club sandwich and beer too which was great. We will definitely return in the future .
Great round
Plenty of parking and the pro-shop looked great. The course was in superb condition.
I booked the round on GolfNow but when I arrived I was told that GolfNow hadn’t communicated with them. The guy in the proshop said that there was a club comp on - we started from the 10th tee and absolutely loved the challenges that the course gave us.
Too many blind holes and also buggy needed.
Fantastic course condition i mean phenomenal how well a course in merthyr is actually kept. So impressed with the greens. Just too many blind holes to make it a regular play also front 9 is very hilly so would use a buggy next time if i did play it again
Beautiful course
On arrival the pro in the shop was extremely helpful and polite. The course is in fantastic condition and a joy to play with some beautiful and stunning veiws. The only let down was that myself and playing partner were in a buggy and got to the 10th hole to be held up for a four ball member group , at no time did they offer us to play through or even make eye contact for that matter which made the round longer than needed to be
Quirky enjoyable course.
Excellent golf course, quite long & challenging, in great condition with excellent greens. Go and play this course you will love it, it's so different to other courses.
Unfortunately booked a day that wasn’t really available due to club competition.
Not a fault of the club. They managed to get me onto the back 9.
Greens just had spring maintenance so not that great.
Would like to come back when able to play full 18
All 18 holes were temporary greens
Would have been nice to know before hand via their website that they all had temporary greens during this time. However didn’t know until we got there which ruined the day. Nice views and some nice holes but ruined the experience
Absolutely perfect
The course was in fantastic condition. Our own course was water logged.
This course is very good in the winter. Very friendly staff and we had a very good meal afterwards.
Very good facilities.
Great value course with dramatic views
Icy 50 mph gales on the exposed hills made for a tough round but still enjoyed our round on this interesting course. Front 6,15,17 were great holes with some dramatic views.
A fair challenge that will give the longer hitter plenty of chances.
Well worth a visit.
First time playing the course. Never think it was late november. Course in mint condition. Will 100% be back.
Fun on the mountain side
Every hole is different and the back 9 is more parkland then the front which is very upland. This aid we thoroughly enjoyed the course, would r3commend a buggy of you are not 100% fit. In terms of value for money it’s outstanding, as are the staff. Would definitely play again.
