Bryn Meadows Golf Club

A lovely golf course. Which i use a lot as a single player where i can get 18 holes done reasonably quickly.

Good variety in lengths and had no issue with course in wet and dry conditions.

Not a massive fan of holes 3 and 5 as sometimes you can be on the fairway but better off being in the rough.

Course was in great condition. Members are very friendly. Will 100% be playing here again. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly and helpful as were all the other players I bumped into along the way. Some challenging holes to keep everything interesting and great views the whole way around, definitely made losing so many balls enjoyable!

Pace of play was extremely slow, there was a back log of tee times on the first and it took me 30 mins to get through the first hole, after that things didn’t get much better with people stacked up waiting at each Tee. Prices of chocolate bar in the shop is astronomical and the Tee boxes are in poor condition. Some parts of the course are picturesque given that the pace of play is so slow you get plenty of time to take in the views. I payed for 18 holes however it took so long that I walked in after 9. Wouldn’t recommend

Well we’re to start with this course I’ve played many courses now and this course has to be up there with 1 of the best and well looked after staff are very welcoming and friendly lots of buggy’s so no haste if u don’t like walking genuinely thinking of taking a membership out here

Went there for my son's birthday. Weather was Sunny & Course was in good Condition. Will defo go again

Great day of golf. Food, staff and course excellent.

Playng golf in the sun on a great course is never going to be bad. The course isn't so difficult you can't pay it but neither is it too easy. There are lots of elevation changes to contend with and some water, so you do feel like you've had a good game.

Need to adjust the amount of players you have out on the course at any given time. We booked on a Sunday, there were plenty of tee times available, but from holes 1-4 there was an average wait time of 10-15 minutes. It started to clear up after hole 4, but was far too busy, everyone was on top of each other, with more balls flying in your direction.

Considering the terrible wet and cold weather, the greens were in decent condition. However, some of the course was boggy but again, bad wet weather cannot be helped.

One thing I will say is that service is always excellent, staff are always very polite and happy. Members are friendly also.

With all the bad weather we continue to have here in south Wales, Bryn meadows continues to play very very well. The greens are playing really well and the green keeper must be evil as the pins are in some very challenging positions. Keep up the great work of keeping the course open and playable. Looking forward to returning in the next couple of weeks.

Condition of the course is pretty poor. I understand it’s never the best during the winter but the greens were extremely patchy and the drainage on the course is dreadful

The worst part about the course by far is the winter tee boxes. Genuinely not fit for purpose, they’re either absolutely solid - like teeing off the car park or they’re extremely soft - like teeing off quick sand. They’re made of the cheapest material ever and seems as though the course are trying to save money on them. The boxes itself are also very small.

I played this course as a bit of a tester before joining the club for a yearly membership. I’ll now steer clear.

Great course greens were excellent for time of year. Really good to see a course working on the quality of the layout and the difficulty in approach to greens.

Played it today and with all the rain we have had recently the course was In brilliant condition. The lady serving was lovely as well.

Very helpful staff. The course was lovely. Our first time there but we found our way around. The course is open but offers a challenge. Will definitely play there again.
