Great conditions considered
Very surprised at how the course was kept in wet cold conditions. Lots of green keepers blowing away leaves, obviously lots of work going into it. Would definitely play again this time of year
Will definitely return.
There were 8 of us (ranging from 8 - 22 HCPs) and we arranged to come here and play 2x4 Balls. We think £25 for 18 holes is good value. We were all pleasantly surprised with the on-course conditions (considering we played middle of November).
The course layout is really good! And some really nice holes to play. All the par 3's, in particular hole 13 really stood out. There is some challenging par 4's with dog legs and sloping fairways.
The only negative for a few of us was the Par 4, 10th Hole. It has a green placed on top of practically a mountain. (I think there is scope to turn that into a short, easier Par 3 or a shorter, challenging par 3 based on where you'd position your tee box or green).
We are definitely going to return, most likely to see how the course plays in the summer time.
Course layout is good - other than strange 10th hole! - but we felt that maintenance let it down. Greens had too much grass, greens and fairway fringe grass was left too long imo. May be due to time of year, but still a negative aspect.
Lovely course but played in very wet conditions.
Some problems with directions especially from the 9th green to the 10th tee
Very slow play and poor tee boxes
Overall not a bad course for the 12 holes we played. Seemed to be placed just after a 4 ball tournament. Took three hours to play 9 holes. Also the 10th hole is very strange hit the ‘fairway’ to about 80 yards from pin but couldn’t see the green
Value for money
A nice course, not overly long, quite tight in places. Generally in great condition despite the hot spell recently.
On the downside, if you are playing it for the first time, there is virtually no signage, and no hole plans on the tees, or course layout on the card,.
One of my potential membership options, amenities are outstanding course is in good condition and plays well offering the higher handicappers and low handicappers alike a decent challenge.
Firstly a great welcome by Katie….
Course was in superb condition the greens were soft and receptive and well watered, the rest of the course was in outstanding condition with bunkers well raked with plenty of soft sand. Will play again very soon.
This was my first time I've played Bryn Meadows, the course was in outstanding condition, the staff were very friendly and the pace of play was spot on.
A very enjoyable round
Decent course. Greens good condition. Fairways good. Tee boxes possibly could have been cut a bit shorter and the rough trimmed down a bit but overall a good course and will play Bryn Meadows again in The future.
