Excellent Gower views and enjoyable course

Fantastic views on a number of holes and a friendly atmosphere make the Gower worth a visit - it also offers much cheaper price point than many of the prominent courses in the area.

Course was relatively forgiving, with reachable par 5s and plenty of good scoring opportunities. Condition was good overall, greens a little sluggish and needed rolling. The layout was pretty average but overall location and atmosphere made up for this.

Needs some tlc

Greens poor 4 on winter greens despite fantastic recent weather and rest sanded heavily great speed of round but understand why when course so poorly looked after - shame good layout but poor green and course investment - there are better places to play in the gower I am afraid to say.

The Gower

Course was in great condition. Fairways and greens excellent. Bit wet in patches but to be expected due to recent weather.

Poor Start

We arrived at the club and proceeded to the club house for a coffee, in the bar there was somebody sat behind the bar but they didn't seem very friendly or helpful, not a good start.

The course has some interesting holes and some lovely views we found it very difficult to find our way around the course with some long walks between green and tee, but there were a lot of hokes with no signage showing you the correct way.

Some parts of the course were very wet, the ball was plugging on the fairways and the greens. A large number of greens are surrounded by trees, these greens were very wet and the approaches very muddy.

Decent course, slow play

Good course with some interesting holes. Very slow on a Saturday afternoon, lots of beginners on the course not letting people through.

Gower Gem

Great course that has matured fantastically since I last played it. The loop of holes from 8-11 is truly stunning and a great test of golf. Amazing value at £15 per round. You will not be disappointed

Brilliant course

We are new to golf and have been trying lots of courses around the area. As it stands this is by far our favourite.

It was so much fun to play and there was a good balance of easier and butt kicking holes.

Can’t wait to play there again.

Lovely track.

tee'd off early. Great opening hole to get you going. Caught up to some members, who were friendly and let me through. Then they handed out tips for the next few holes. After that it it was plane sailing. The course was in good condition and the greens were responsive. There are a couple of hills on the course, but that adds to the drama. Its a fair test of golf and the greens are a good size. It can make you feel good about your game. The signature 8th hole is a peach, blind tee shot, you need to hit a good drive to be able to carry the water on the second shot. Really looking forward to it playing again.

The course has good areial views.

The course has good areial views over the hills which helps to enjoy your round of golf. The fairways could have done with a cut and the rough next to fairways had a lot of loose cut grass cuttings which ideally should be collected when being cut. Overall I had a good round and will return.
