Pines at Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club

This is one of the oldest courses around, but they do an awesome job maintaining it. From the time you enter the pro shop to finishing up at the 19th hole. The staff is always wonderful and friendly. The folks in the 2 trees restaurant are always ready to serve you.

Having played golf twice now in Florida I give this course a 7. Course very flat, with very close tee boxes to speed play. Fairways very open and forgiving. The greens show signs of excessive use and difficult to read at times. Overall a nice course to play.

The pro shop seemed overwhelmed with the volume of players. I waited about 15 min to check in.

Finished 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours.

Greens are speeding up with the fall temperatures changing. The grass has started its dormant stage and the greens have browned up some with the near freezing low temps we had last week. Fairways are still green and plush. A fun course to play and some scores to be had.

Very good greens and fairways. They have done wonders with the greens and fairways over the last 3 years. It's a pleasure to play here again and not have to pay in the 100's like Destin courses.

Course was in great condition and price was very good. $2 range balls are the best price I've ever seen. Would highly recommend.

I played the sister course a week ago. Both courses are in good shape and were similar in difficulty. The greens on the Pines seemed to have a lot of poana compared to those on the Oaks. It did not affect the roll of the ball as much as I would have thought, but it is still gets in your head a little as you see it in your path.

Pro shop and starter very helpful. We were to play Pine, but starter sent us to Oak because of tournament on Pine. Layout is fun, not super long, but pretty tight driving on most holes. Conditions were good, greens held and rolled ell. No marshals and got a little slow on backside, but not bad. Course tips book was helpful. A keeper

My 14yr old son & myself played here & he said it was his favorite course. Fairways are pretty wide & only a few doglegs. Greens were in excellent shape as ball rolled true. I would definitely recommend this course especially for $25 green fee & cart.

Staff let us out at 6:40 in the morning. We sped around in just 2 plus hours . Off the tee box everything was fair. The greens had just been aerated and were slow and wet but in good shape. Loved the layout of the pines 18 holes and would come back again. Best course for the $ in Destin area.

Good course. Staff was very friendly. Fairways in great shape. Tee boxes needed a little work and greens had been top dressed a week ago. Would play again.

Play here 2-3x month, course is in great condition and fun to play!
