Corte Bella Golf Club
About
The course at Corte Bella Golf Club was done in a desert style but avoids the target greens and forced carries that are at some desert courses in the area. It has a classic layout on a beautiful terrain of ficus, Italian cypress, and oleander, creating a scenic ambiance. The designer, Greg Nash, kept traditions of classical golf architecture in mind and made a course that champions the strategic player. Both the immaculately manicured greens and the wide fairways are well protected by bunkers on this course, making accuracy on the approach shot a priority. Water hazards come into play on three holes at Corte Bella Golf Club.

Nice course. Still $50.00 and that is a summer rate? Good Fairways, challenging greens, well maintained. I enjoyed it. Just always remember when you play a course that has members, they will get touchy with the public and act like they own the place.
Great course! Some areas that were too wet or unplayable however those were very minor details of the course. Love the open lay out, its forgiving and the greens are a good challenge. In excellent condition
Always come back
I have played this course several times this summer and many times in the past, it is always fun to play at this location. The staff always friendly course always in good condition. I will certainly be back again
Ciao Bella!
This place is STILL a well kept secret gem. Even after a night.of rains, the greens were good, sloppy in just a few spots. Staff is great. Range good, practice green was a bit rough , but course was in good shape.
A very nice course with challenging greens.
This is the first time I played Corte Bella. Upon checking in at the pro shop I was told that the driving range was free and that I could hit as many balls as I pleased. That was a pleasant surprise. The golf cart had a cooler with ice in it. This was particularly gratifying since I was playing in the Phoenix area in late August.
The toughest part of the course for me was the greens. Many were multi tiered with severe undulations. Fortunately, I was playing with a guy that was intimately familiar with the course. He told me how each green was shaped before we played each hole. Very helpful.
There were a number of very wet spots on some fairways. Consequently, I got relief whenever I found myself embedded in one of them. The fairways were generally wide and forgiving. However, some fairways had rough spots with little grass in them.
The sand traps were not in great shape but were in better shape than a lot of courses I have played this summer. I rate a sand trap by the fineness of its sand. Too many sand traps are like concrete. At Corte Bella I was able to play out of some sand traps with relative ease because the sand wasn’t real hard. That’s a plus..
One more thing about bunkers. At Corte Bella they’re hugh, deep and plentiful. One par 3 had so many bunkers I asked my playing partner where management put all the grass.
The rough was not particularly troublesome in that the grass was not very long nor very thick. This has the added advantage of being able to find your ball without prolonging the pace of play.
My last comment is that I think the greens fee is too high for this course. I’ve played better courses that were also cheaper. But it is what it is.
Worth it!
Course was in great shape for this time of the year. A few overly wet spots in some fairways. Played with a couple who were members, could not have been more pleasant to play with.
Poor customer service!!
Marshall watched us for an entire par 5. Then told us to speed it up. We finished front 9 in TWO HOURS. Only to return and say “your pace is fine. The group behind you each have their own carts, they’re playing from the front tees, and they’re not putting anything out”. He shouldn’t known that before taking their complaint call, driving straight up and telling us to speed up. He did apologize but the rude tone and attitude could’ve been completely avoided.
Another good round
Course conditions were good. Greens were a little bit bumpy which is very odd for this place. Usually the greens are very smooth. Pace was a bit slow. A couple of groups ahead of us were having issues and slowing down the pace. Carts have ice chests and plenty of ice. No GPS so bring your own.
Course was in good shape. Greens just recovered from being punched.
Course is very fair. Open fairways with small elevation changes.
