Corte Bella Golf Club
About
The course at Corte Bella Golf Club was done in a desert style but avoids the target greens and forced carries that are at some desert courses in the area. It has a classic layout on a beautiful terrain of ficus, Italian cypress, and oleander, creating a scenic ambiance. The designer, Greg Nash, kept traditions of classical golf architecture in mind and made a course that champions the strategic player. Both the immaculately manicured greens and the wide fairways are well protected by bunkers on this course, making accuracy on the approach shot a priority. Water hazards come into play on three holes at Corte Bella Golf Club.

Kinda on your own here
There were 4 or 5 cart clerks but nobody to even offer vold drinks on the course, yet no signs or statements to let you know before you head out. But at the turn, there was a large gathering blocking the drive to the back nine. They rudely told our group to go around before two guys finally moved carts so we could get by. The track was tough but fair. But apparently if you're not a member or regular you're not really welcomed. That's an odd approach for a course so far out in BFE.
Bob and Jeff
Great course definitely enjoy playing here.
Employees are outstanding
#25 public course in Arizona (for great reason)
Challenging undulating greens cap off just about every hole surrounded by super unique bunkering and well thought out desert breaks. We very much enjoyed this track and will surely return for another 18.
Fathers Day
This is always a fun course to play. Conditions were great and the ranger kept up the pace of play as there was a slow group in front of us and he made them skip a hole, still we played in 4 hours.
Tough pins
First time playing. Nice grass range and practice green. Course has a good layout. Not too long, even from the tips. Lots of sand and tough greens. Pins were tucked onto some tiny shelves which made scoring tough. Puts rolled true and sand was great. Mild brown spots in the fairway but that’s to be expected this time of year. Played with two members who helped us get around. The emphasize pace of play a ton so the round kept moving nicely. Overall was a great round.
back again
a definite favorite course to be played on the west valley. Tyson and his staff are always friendly and helpful, this time was no exception. The course seemed a little dry and burned out for mid june, more as if was mid july. The only thing that was somewhat different, as the virus seems to be worsening in AZ, this course had rakes in the bunkers, no inserts in hole placements, ball washers were fully accessable. Not saying bad at all, just a surprise. im sure i will be back again later this summer
Course is in great shap
Took advantage of a GolfNow Hot Deal. Overall the course is in great shape. Maybe. a couple of fairways were a bit brown, but we have had some 110+ degree days lately. Fairways are pretty open, lots of landing room. Most greens are protected in the front by bunkers, so you have to carry approach shots all the way to the green. Greens were fairly quick, rolled reasonably well. Some greens do suffer from unrepaired ball marks (wish people would take the time to repair them).
Played as a twosome. Pace was good - finished in around three hours.
Would definitely recommend to others.
Hot day at Corte Bella
I really like this course. It’s a nice layout and is as tough or as fun as you want it to be. It has forgiving fairways but also does a good job of protecting its greens. I would call it a second shot course. I would give five stars all around except the course is in the summer phase with a few dry spots but hardly noticeable. The pace was a okay on this day maybe a little slower than usual due to a morning tournament.
A lot of fun
Very cool layout with a lot of scoring hole opportunities. Unique challenges built in with the vast bunkers throughout and undulating greens. Only critique is that I wish their first tee time was before 6:30 so it’s easier to beat the heat.
Great Value
The staff is among the friendliest I have encountered in the valley. Everyone asked if we enjoyed our round including the greenskeeper and the bag boys/men.
The course is in excellent shape and pace of play was less than 4 hours. I plan to return when the entire facility is open (currently no food or bar service). I highly recommend. Not a long course but the greens have enough slope to cause problems if above the hole.
Great Round
One of the better courses I’ve played since relocating from the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area in N.C.
Great layout and fun to play
3 1/2 hour round. Just a very fun course with an excellent layout. No blind holes and if you play proper tees you will enjoy your day.
Worth the trip
Hidden gem of a course. Very friendly staff and free range balls upon arrival. In great shape tee to green. Fairways wide open. Not too tough off the tee but plenty of sand on every hole. All around a really fun course. I would recommend giving this lesser known track a try.
Another Great Experience
A hidden gem! If you have never played this course then you need to get it on your short list. The course conditions are excellent...fairways are cut nice and greens are smooth, with a great pace to them. The course offers you some excellent shot making choices...gamble and be rewarded. Just a fun course to play.
Corte Bella Rocks!
Excellent day of golf. This was the first time I’ve been to Corte Bella and couldn’t have been happier. Everyone I met was friendly and there was plenty of ice on several holes — nice addition in Phoenix. Big fairways and smooth greens.
Safe and fun
All the carts are sanitized
Staff wearing appropriate PPE
Good people pace was a little slower than normal
