West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Course needs work
The layout here is very cool, very nice looking holes. But the conditions are so terrible that it makes this course seem unplayable. No where to tee your ball on the tee box. The greens were mostly dirt. Fairways were just abused.

Was nice but wet n muddy
It rained all that week so it was muddy and flooded in some parts and first on the course so the dew made it a bit more difficult

Good value for under $30. Slow green.
Easy to get on and for $30 I will play again. But expect very slow and rough green. Good course layout.

Great golf course
The West Course was in very good condition considering all the recent rain. Both the fairways and greens were in very good condition. The pace of play was very fast about two and a half hours for eighteen holes..I even was given a card for a free hot dog, chips and a soft drink which I used after the round. The hot dog was excellent and the waitress very friendly.

Great course for price
Kept in great condition, and for the price it’s a steal. Not many options for food/bev other than the snack bar by pro shop so bring your own for the round.

Challenging from the blues, the West is MUCH improved
Weather was hot, but there is a goof breeze because the two 18s are very open. The fairways on the West are great, especially since it has been raining hard almost every day, and NO standing water. The Greens are really coming along, and pace of play is superb. Staff is friendly, especially the starters.

Good value for the price.
Played here several times and it seems to be hit or miss with the scheduling and pace of play. Conditions are not ideal but decent for a round close to home. Nice little pro shop as well as bar/restaurant.
