Challenging but enjoyable
The conditions were very good. Greens were great and fast. Course challenges you but doesn’t beat you up. I played the blue tees and found it manageable. I’m a 7 handicap.
White tees are long for 69 year old
The layout and greens are excellent! The pin placements were difficult. The white tees were a little too long for a better than average 69 year old. There were 6 or 7 holes that I couldn’t reach in regulation.
Great layout and greens!
At 69 the white tees are just a little too long! There were 6or 7 holes that I couldn’t reach in regulation. I will play the silver tees next time
love this course
challenging, not one hole is the same;; you have to think before you hit. You have to play smart
Awesome layout...slow pace
What a fantastic layout...enjoyed it very much. The pace of play was really slow, but other than that it was a great day.
Great value for all types of players...tough for the big hitters who I dare to play the tips...you’ll be tuned for your tour card if you can and for those of you that want a challenge at your respective box will have to earn it as well.
Bring Your A-Game
First time playing this magnificent course. I can't say anything bad about the staff or course, I did not give it 5 stars for 2 minor reasons. No bag drop and at the range, you have to lay your clubs on the ground as they don't have a stand for a towel or clubs. Again, no big deal, but for the price, I would have expected those small conveniences. Greens were in spectacular condition. Staff in the pro shop were very friendly and appreciative for the business, which is nice to see at this time of year. Purchased a frequent player card and will definitely play again.
What a Layout!!!
This is a very beautiful and challenging course that is rated the longest in S, Florida at 7800 yards from the tips. The layout is not like the normal flat Florida course, just the opposite, all greens are elevated and you must be able to work the ball left and right. There is water on several holes with many requiering the golf to carry to get to the green. The greens are in great shape and have many undulations so stay below the hole if you can as the edges run off. I really enjoyed this layout and even saw manatee's on a few of the holes that bordered the water. I will definitely be back because I left a few shots out there.
Now it's the time!
If you haven't played this course or want to play one of FL's longest courses, now it's probably the best time to do it. The greens, fairways, or the overall course conditions is probably the best of its own year-long; although there are still some tee boxes that need improvement. This is one of the most fun, painful-feeling, challenging courses that S. FL can offer. The very good speedy, undulated greens; the many hazards; the long holes; the challenging layouts, etc. will give many golfers satisfaction yet painful feelings at the end of a round of golf. Recommended!
