Emerald Hills is a Gem!
Great day - pleasantly surprised. Even had a great view of the Hard Rock Casino Guitar!
Great layout, good condition, still pricey.
Tough, but fair course. Great layout. Long, and plays longer! Tee it forward, for sure. Conditions were pretty good, could definitely use more water. Any less rain/water and everything will get dry. If the cost was more in line with other local courses, I'd go more often. The cost is usually near double other local courses.
Makes no sense
The course makes no sense It's willfully hard. Not challenging, more than that..it makes no sense at all. Its all gimmick...thats fine, but when you have so many gimmicks and horrific tee boxes, choppy greens and a fairway that looks like Edward James Olmos's face, well..then you have a problem. how they have the nerve to charge 100+ for this in the am is bonkers to me.
Good, long, challenging course
Tees fairways greens, all on very good shape.
Course is long and challenging.
Starters are friendly and efficient.
All in all… the best course in the area.
Course in rough shape
Course is very expensive for the shape it’s in. It used to be taken care of better, it’s pretty bad now and it’s a lot of money to play.
The club at Emerald hills
The course was really beat up. I read previous reviews and should have not played here. Pace of play was too bad, about 4.5 hour round. Definitely not worth the prieum price the are requesting.
The range was also run down.
Overall bad experience
once around again
fairways need to be addressed as well as Tee boxes...same for " rocky " bunkers
Overpriced and neglected
I was excited to play emerald hills due to being from out of town and the wonderful history of the course. However, I should have left it on my imagination.
I arrived at the course an hour early and dropped my bag but no one was there. After about 5 minutes a gentleman came out and I was kindly greeted . Very friendly but he had to give me directions on where to go. The clubhouse looks dingy and when I was directed through the glass doors in the front of the building and entered, the building seemed as if vacant. I made my way to the pro shop where I was warmly greeted and charged $96 for a Tuesday 1pm tee time.
It was at this point I was informed that the range was closed but the putting green was open. The putting green was very small, with three holes, patches of dead grass, sand and signs stating that chipping was not allowed.
As I started my round I found more of the same. The course seems neglected. I didn’t see one employee in the entire round providing any course care and there was trash in virtually every body of water. The carts are old and provide no screens or technology.
Sydney saved the day with a cheerful attitude and drinks from the drink cart but the play was slow. A ranger came out eventually but we were already on 15 and the group behind us had called the clubhouse.
Overall would have expected to pay $40 for a round in this shape with so few amenities.
Average Public Course
The facilities are dated, tee boxes in poor condition, fairways decent, greens are in good condition but slow. The course layout is exceptional. I’m not from the area but feel like it may have been a little over priced.
