Excellent course in Fort Lauderdale
Lots of challenge and pretty good conditions considering it’s February when I played after some pretty cold weather the past few weeks
The greens were good, the fairways were excellent and the course layout is interesting with lots of water holes
I will be returning soon
Overpriced
The course was fair. If they hadn't heavily dyed the greens they would have been brown. There was a very abrasive person working there. One of the other people who worked there said they call him grumpy. And rightly so. They said he was also a corrections officer at the local penitentiary. (which explained a lot). I paid $109 with Golf Now discounts. it was far too much for this course. And when we finished I was trying to take the cart out to the parking lot to unload, and this abrasive guy at the cart barn started yelling and telling us to park the cart there. I asked if we could take the cart to the parking lot to unload like the other golfers. And he got even louder and insisted we stop right there and have them clean our clubs, and then we could take the clubs to the parking lot later. I said I did not need my clubs clean, and I was late picking ups my wife (After a full 5 hour round). He just shouted over me and was very aggressive. I took my clubs off the cart and walked to the car. It all made me very uncomfortable. The main reason I will never go back. The place was overpriced. The course, while playable, and had a good personality, was not in very good shape. It was heavily dyed with green dye to cover up all the brown parts. The greens were fairly fast on one hole, and then really slow on the next. No real consistency. The beverage cart girl was nice and attentive. The staff, other than the crazy guy, were friendly and helpful.
Coming again soon
I came to Florida on vacation planning to play a few courses, and Eagle Trace was definitely a good choice.
The layout is fun and challenging. There’s water on almost every hole, so if you’re not hitting it straight, the course will punish you. That’s what makes it interesting and strategic. Overall, the course is in good shape, and you can tell they’re putting effort into continuing to improve the conditions.
The greens are very fast and don’t hold much, so you really have to think through your approach shots and be sharp with the putter. It’s a solid test for any mid-handicap player.
Pace of play was a little slow at times, but nothing out of the ordinary and it didn’t take us out of our rhythm.
The staff was extremely friendly, and there are great food and beverage options both in the clubhouse and from the cart on the course.
I would definitely come back and play here again.
Beautiful and challenging
Good high level course to play. Very challenging bring your A game and a few extra balls
Overpriced and slow
5 hour round should say it all. Course was ok but not worth the price. 3 greens had severs slopes toward water that made them almost unplayable. The regular rate here is $159. Glad I didn't pay that.
In much better shape than it was two months ago. The greens rolled very purely and tee boxes were in better shape. Its peak season so price is a little steep unless you get a deal. Overall a good course to play.
Last minute tee time
Booked 2 days before and I am glad that I played a decent golf course for my first round in 2026.
Greens were pretty quick and several front to back tough lies.Fairways were in good condition with only a few bare spots.
Water bottles with ice were provided and food can be delivered or ordered for the turn.
Very slow. The back nine took almost 4 hours. We were behind 60 woman outing course conditions were decent. The staff were not very friendly
Great everything staff course greens tee boxes carts
Overall great experience
Friendly staff, great layout. I recommend you play it.
Awesome Course
Amazing championship course. Very fun and challenging for all groups. My one caveat is the grass on some of the tee boxes is too high. Unfortunately was cart path only that day but still has a BLAST!
Great challenge
Playing this course is not easy for anyone. But challenges are so high that whenever you get to the green without having trouble you get rewarded with a par or few time a birdie! Have a try and fun.
5.5 hour Round 🤕
I LOVE THE COURSE AND STAFF WAS PHENOMENAL. It took us 5.5 hours to play the course and that my issue. Two people in our foursome left on hole 12.
