Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club

Since the pandemic began 03/20, I have played here at least once a week and I always enjoyed the rounds. But, recently we had terrible rains and they were under 30 inches of water (so they said) and the course is inundated with garbage. They say they are cleaning it but I have not seen any indication of cleaning. I have spoken to the office and shown photos but there has been no improvement.

I didn't play the course.. when I arrived, there was only 8 holes open because it rained the night before. So I cancelled my round.. Golf Now still has not given me a credit. I am very disappointed since I am a VIP... play over a 100 rounds of golf every year with Golf Now...the service is getting worse.. have not played since.

A good local course but in need of better care . Greens were ok but tee boxes are like the rough. The City of Hollywood should be embarrassed on how little attention they have given this course . Perhaps with the forthcoming renovation and better care it could move up a star.

The layout and challenges of this course are great. However, the tee boxes and greens could stand some serious attention. The fairways were OK but, also needs some work.

Not a difficult layout, however the rough is in tough conditions. If your ball even slightly goes into the rough, it will be very challenging to find your ball, if you can even find it, especially off a tee shot. Besides that, the course was still a little wet from rain the day before so there isn't much that could be done about that. Still recommend playing this course as the design is good for players who are working on their game or even for more experienced players who do not want to take a round as serious as normal.

Had to play what they call crazy 8’s half the course was flooded. Green were a little beat up and plenty of soaked areas. They made the best use of the course considering many other courses have been closed. I’m going to give them a month and head back out to take on the full course

I did not play because the course had only 8 holes open due the rain the night before. So I cancelled my round.Golf Now has will not reimburse me even though it was not my fault.I play on a average 135 rounds of golf with Golf Now. I have been a vip for over a decade. Golf Now service is deteriorating.In the past 3 months I have noticed that Golf Now is only interested in making money. They don't care about their customers anymore.

I realize their drainage is poor and the heavy rains 2 weeks ago wracked havoc on the course, but the amount of garbage strewn around is horrible. They should close for ONE day and have their maintenance crews do a COMPLETE clean up of the course.

I have been playing there at least once a week since the pandemic hit and I have never seen it so horrible.

It’s a shame how city of Hollywood have let this gem deteriorate.

50$ green fee is a robbery. ECO is better than this one now

Course needs some work on it, I actually can not believe that a pro puts his name to this course.

Course appears to have weak to no proper/unclogged water drainage. (Fairways or bunkers). Lots of debris on course (leaves, sticks, etc). Greens were sandy or full of seed. Only able to play on 8 holes. Would understand if holes closed to be worked, properly seeded, etc. But it didn't appear that was the reasoning.

Very nice people running the place but the grounds keeper (if there is one) is either incredibly lazy or non existent. Regardless of ability to fix major issues, even small things like roping off areas or picking up leaves should be done.
